Thanks for the tutorial. I just started playing with Magic yesterday. This is my first attempt: https://youtu.be/1G08zlgp-os
I split the guitar solo and Rhythm section into two channels, and processed them separately. I think the Rhythm Section Starfield is a bit distracting.
I'd like to get to the point with visualizations where the visuals really aesthetically match the vibe of the music, but I will need more proficiency with Magic first.
Anyway, genuine constructive criticism welcome ...

Hi all - This is my entry into the JTC Guitar Solo Contest for 2015. Check it out, and hit the "like" button ( if you feel so inclined 😃 ). Also, any comments or critiques you have would be most welcome. Cheers,
Judd.

JUDD NIEMANN. CATEGORY: FUSION SUBMITTED: 27 MAR 2015. ABOUT JUDD NIEMANN. Hello, I've been playing guitar since I was 8 years old. I studied Jazz at Adelaide University. Although a good deal of my training was in Jazz, I enjoy all styles of music, from Country to Death Metal.

This is a track I've been experimenting with for a long time.
The first part is improvised, and the passage in the last section was written years ago. I thought it was time to finally upload it.

This is an old song I have been working on for a long time. I recently re-amped the guitar part with the Axe-fx and added the tasteful keyboard parts by Ben Martin-Peddey.

This can't be real. The employer would have to check their facts before firing the teacher - maybe there is more to the story ? Pretty pathetic if writing about Homophones is the real (and only) reason.

the number of possible chess positions after a given number of moves is known by chess programmers as a perft score. It is used to verify whether a chess engine is generating moves correctly. Here are the first 13 perft numbers:

perft(1) = 20
perft(2) = 400
perft(3) = 8,902
perft(4) = 197,281
perft(5) = 4,865,609
perft(6) = 119,060,324
perft(7) = 3,195,901,860
perft(8) = 84,998,978,956
perft(9) = 2,439,530,234,167
perft(10) = 69,352,859,712,417
perft(11) = 2,097,651,003,696,806
perft(12) = 62,854,969,236,701,747
perft(13) = 1,981,066,775,000,396,239

I wonder if there is a mathematical function which can approximate this and estimate higher perft numbers.

Just playing around with some jazz tones ...

Hi - this is just an excerpt of me playing an excerpt from the Kurt Elling tune "Where I Belong" through the axe-fx. Amp model: "TX Clean" (aka Lonestar) Spkr cab: F150 1x12 Shadow Mix (TAF) ( I

Very Nice - I think the Alnico Silvers and the Fanes work really well for this style. They have a lot of character  (the Silvers sound 'sparkly', and the Fanes sound 'Chewy'). I'm not hearing a lot of difference between the 1x12 and 2x12 versions - is that normal ? Maybe I'll have another listen later on ...

I had that 200-in-1 Kit when I was a kid, too. I learned so much from it. After a while, I pulled the Relay out, and replaced it with a 741 to learn about op-amps. Also, the LEDs on mine looked a bit different - clear/red.
