The “Unreal Estate” series, some absolutely beautiful illustrations by the American artist Tim Doyle (Texas) who has fun representing mythical places from cartoons and TV shows like The Simpsons, Futurama, King of the Hill or Arrested Development, with a dramatic approach and a remarkable work on the lights. The views of the city of Springfield and its “742 Evergreen Terrace” are simply amazing.
Austin-based illustrator and print-maker Tim Doyle first started creating these dark and dismal Simpsons-themed artworks as part of his first UnReal Estate gallery show, which re-imagined iconic locations found in the fictional worlds of well-known television shows (including - d'oh! - Springfield, the town where the Simpsons live) and films in pop culture.

This is a tribute to the wink of complicity from the filmmakers to the audience when they make actors look straight into the camera. It is not a tribute to scenes where the fourth wall is broken (when a character addresses the audience directly).

A couple of years ago, graphic designer Kelsey Kronmiller spotted a Super Mario Bros. themed fish tank making the internet rounds. It inspired her to make her own, but she had to wait until she had her own place. She based her design on World 8-1 in Super Mario Bros. and put a lot of work into the project.
Kelsey Kronmiller, a graphic designer, designed this amazing LEGO aquarium, which is about 90% done and "entirely coated in "Krylon Fusion," a clear enamel recommended by aquarists to protect fish." I love all the little details. This is such a cute build and totally makes me want to build a Lego aquarium.

There are text editors and then there are writing environments. Text editors are designed to edit text documents, whereas writing environments should be inviting and distraction-free – just like the free web app typWrittr. It runs in your browser, it's highly customisable and has a uniquely minimalist appeal that forces you to concentrate on one thing: your writing. Minimalist…

When Telmo Pieper was a child, it's unlikely his teachers or parents thought that being an artist was his one true calling in life. He certainly didn't demonstrate a prodigious talent, at least not based on the very rudimentary doodles that have been making the rounds today online.
