Honestly, I was never into fine art growing up. It
appeared to be a "high class" club with certain beliefs. And maybe some
of it is like that but when I took a design class in school I discovered
that artists came from a variety of backgrounds and faiths.
that class I took drawing and painting and discovered my more creative
side. I fell in love with painting and the idea that I could transfer my
imagination and ideas to canvas for everyone to see.
especially drawn to surrealism and expressionism. The crazy imagination
of Dali, the low key cerebral paintings of Magritte and the brilliant
emotional colors of Matisse have inspired my style. Most of my work has a
dream like quality because it comes from my little day dreams. It is
all fairly subtle. I want to lead you down a path but I don't want to
give you an exact location. Enjoy the journey.
I am currently a
student at American River College and have been in several student shows
including one at the Crocker Art Museum. Also I have been in a few
group shows at the Tangent Gallery and had a solo show at Gallery W.
