Mad Max: Fury Road was a truly incredible film, but Kung Fury will go down as 2015's greatest cinematic achievement!

This kickstarter funded, passionately produced, indie gem has reversed my greying hair, overclocked every PC in the house, and somehow managed to pump 1.21 jigawatts of electricity back into the grid.

This is the most excited I've ever been for a TV show!  The Last Starfighter is one of my most favorite films of all time.  The idea of a TV show based off the property, lead by original screenwriter Jonathan Betuel, and incorporating VR is literally wish fulfillment.

I'm curious to see how distribution is going to work out, and hopefully it'll actually be a good show.  Regardless it's incredible that we're even talking about The Last Starfighter, and VR together in the same project.

Oh, and I'm so glad this isn't a remake!

"Mirroring the original film’s eagerness to embrace new technology, Betuel is working with a new production company called to make The Last Starfighter into a TV show that also has a virtual reality element. Certain sequences inside a spaceship or in the middle of a battle would allow the viewer to switch from the 2D screen to their VR headset and experience the story in an immersive way. This new Starfighter wouldn’t be a remake about a boy playing a video game, but would be called Starfighter Chronicles and be about an intergalactic peace-keeping force."
The newest attempt to integrate home virtual reality headsets into mass entertainment is — like Nick Arcade before it — a revival of a property that had previously set a minor benchmark in the integration [...]

"The thing about not saying “yes” is that it can mean so much. The words “yup” and “yep” can seem so incredibly passive that it means there is probably some weight behind using them."
I was in a conversation with my friend and he asked me: “How do you feel about people who say “yep?” After about a second I said, “I hate it, it’s so indecisive.” Which then turned into a co...

I'm just a man with a beard.
Let me introduce myself. I'm Josiah Guile.
The story of my life began many years ago, and thousands of miles away.

You see, friends, I was first discovered deep in the heart of a dark, damp jungle. To this day no one knows how I got there. I survived the harsh, heartless brutality of nature thanks to a small tribe of native mimes.

These selfless mimes took wonderful care of me. They taught me how to smile, how to frown, and how to hold very still. We had a beautiful life together.

After living with them for many years, despite their kindness, I came to a realization. "Man, the life of a mime is a life of sadness, and sorrow, and that's no life for me." So at the age of 3 I waved goodbye to my beloved mime family as I headed off to discover the world.

My body was found 3 days later, about 120 yards from where my journey began. I must have tripped on a little rock, or a vine or something. Stupid mime fools. Letting a 3 year old wonder off like that, and in the jungle of all places.

So you're probably wonder how I am able to be here typing this if I'm already dead. Well to be honest with you, everything I wrote previously was a complete fabrication. Yup, no truth in that story what-so-ever. I'm actually kind of shocked that you couldn't have figured that out on your own.

So the truth is that I'm just this guy, you know?

This is easily my most favorite place to eat. I've been nearly a dozen times, and each time is flawless. Everything is fantastic, and everything is my favorite! It's one of the few buffets where I fall in love with each dish I taste. When typically at a buffet I'd find one or two dishes I really like, and just stick to those. Not at this place though. I'd fill my plate with my eyes closed and be happy every time if I thought I could do so without making a mess.

The vegetarian dishes were extremely over priced ($11 for a veggie kabob and rice? Seriously? A few vegetables, grilled, that's it. So nothing my wife and I got was impressive, and for the price, that's just unacceptable. If you're a vegetarian you might not want to bother. Though the meat eaters that were with us seemed to enjoy their meals. Though a bit over priced as well. The menu did have some fantastic sounding meat dishes, I have to say.

Pretty dang expensive, but you get what you pay for. Their Gyros are second to none. Their Greek potatoes will blow your mind. The guys that work there are super friendly as well. The biggest downside to Yanni's is that it's often incredibly hot inside, so eat outside whenever possible.

The menu is quite impressive, but the downside is that nearly all the drinks are powder based. So if you're looking for some fresh fruit based boba smoothies and the like, you'll be pretty disappointed. The avocado smoothie is one of the few that actually contains actual fruit.
