This'll break your damn heart.
Boogie is the man, and a really good man at that.  Every one of his videos makes me either laugh, cry, feel inspired, or a combination of all the above. I'm so glad I have him in my life.

"Dads, this is just to say, whatever you think you believe about domestic politics, it’s time to sharpen more than your lawnmower blades or even the kitchen knives. This thing is called the 21st century, and we’re all in it. If we all accept responsibility for being present at work and home, we’ll find we’ve become a happier nation. One evolving domicile at a time."
In my house, my manhood is not called into question because I am the one who kisses my spouse when she gets home, and asks, "How was work?" Nor because when I sit down to catch a few innings of the Braves, I'm likely to be interrupted — only I know where the iPad chargers are, how much homework's been done.

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies - in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.

This world in arms in not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some 50 miles of concrete highway. We pay for a single fighter with a half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people. This, I repeat, is the best way of life to be found on the road the world has been taking. *This is not a way of life at all,* in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, *it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron.*"

I love this so much.

The truly "weird" thing about Al Yankovic is how he always seems equal parts campy and sincere. Even still after all these years. He's timeless, and what's interesting is how I never even noticed. I never even considered his age, or viewed his prime to have been associated with an "era". Like that uncle who's always around, and always makes you laugh, even without hardly trying.

Come to think of it there's never been a time in my life that Weird Al wasn't a part of. Hell even through my "cool" teen/metal-guy stage his records were proudly part of the constant rotation. I really can't say that about any other artist... Wow. I'd like to thank him somehow for enhancing by most beloved memories. It's like laughter leaves a footprint as it dances it's way through your life. Sometimes tracking the laughter you'll find your way back to some hilarious, and somehow forgotten places.

Here's to all the funny people out there! Thank you, we love you, and keep it up!

I look forward to a day when children's hospitals have entire VR rooms (room size motion tracking/HTC Vive/Lighthouse) where patients can have not only have a recreational escape, but also therapeutic experience.  VR opens up doors that would otherwise never even exist, especially in the context of a gloomy hospital.

This Redditor makes an extremely sound observation. I personally agree 100% with his friend. There are certain hot button topics that seem to exist (politically) for the sole purpose dividing society. Of course this strategy is present all throughout history, and it would be naive to assume that such methods of control are no longer relevant.

That doesn't mean the issues aren't real issues, or that people shouldn't care about them. It just means that these issues are being exploited to divert attention away from much larger issues. If I bash your car with a bat, and you come out of your house to yell at me, meanwhile my partner sneaks in through your front door you left open, and plants explosives in your house, the vandalism of the car suddenly because a much smaller issue. Though you won't know it until after your house is blown to bits, and you look back and realize what happened. We're being duped by the manipulation of our passions.

Here's the comment:

"Every time I hear a story like this, I run through my head just how many times, state or federal, some kind of "wacky" shit like this comes up.

There is a friend of mine that wholeheartedly believes that all this is a distraction. That the left and right are conspiring with mega corporations to play this game of using gay rights (for or against) as a way to enrage, divide and ultimately distract the public.

All I see is this shit sliding down the aisle from the right while the left just hangs their head and sigh. But then you have things like the new [cyber security bill]( that has just passed the house. A bill that seems to favor the exchange of data between corporations and not the privacy of the public.

I'm not a conspiracy nut but it's really hard not to wonder sometimes."

Ok now this is just getting stupid.  And only about 20 or so minutes from my house.  I'm supposed to believe that "most cops are good", but a group of 11 seems like a quite a sizable number of "bad eggs".  This isn't just one dude, who was having a bad day.  It's literally a gang of violent maniacs who wouldn't know justice if it kicked them in the balls.  Where are these "good" cops I hear so much about, and why the fuck aren't they doing their jobs, and protecting us from such abuses?!
Jeremiah Guile's profile photo
Whoa man! I can understand concerns of the community based off of what they saw in the video but don't go jumping to conclusions. The tazer obviously didn't work and hitting the guy as hard as they could in the head and balls was required to detain this violent criminal...identity theft. It's kills more people than you'd think.

Seriously though, I'm amazed that if cops are so regularly good guys and we need to trust and support them, why have I never seen a video like this (and there are PLENTY) where any single one of these "good guys" tries to stop the other "good guys" from beating a SUSPECT to death. The crazy part is these are all suspects. He's not even convicted of running from them when they maybe kill him and do kill lots of other people. When I saw the fourth guy run up I had hoped he was running to stop the others from killing him. Not to get his shot at an unconscious man's head in. Police who do this should not just be fired. They should be sent to prison for the very maximum sentence that any one of us would get for doing the same. Assault at the very least and attempted murder for that guy that keeps kicking him in the head.
One day this guy was born. He later would go on to create incredible music. Everyone lived happily ever after.
Let me introduce myself. I'm Josiah Guile.
The story of my wonders began many years and thousands of miles away.

You see, friends. I was first discovered deep in the heart of a dark, damp, jungle. To this day no one knows how I got there. I survived the harsh, heartless, brutality of nature thanks to a small tribe of native mimes.

These selfless mimes took wonderful care of me. They tought me how to smile, how to frown, and how to hold very still. We had a beautiful life together.

After living with them for many years, despite their kindness, I came to a realization. "Man, the life of a mime is a life of sadness, and sorrow. And that's no life for me.". So at the age of 3 I waved goodbye to my beloved mime family and headed off to discover the world.

My body was found 3 days later, about 120 yards from where my journey began. I must have tripped on a little rock, or a vine, or something. Stupid mime fools. Letting a 3 year old wonder off like that, and in the jungle of all places!

So you're probably wonder how I am able to be here typing this if I'm already dead. Well to be honest with you, everything I wrote previously was a complete fabrication. Yup, no truth in that story what-so-ever. I'm actually kind of shocked that you couldn't have figured that out on your own.

So the truth is that I'm just this guy, you know?

This is easily my most favorite place to eat. I've been nearly a dozen times, and each time is flawless. Everything is fantastic, and everything is my favorite! It's one of the few buffets where I fall in love with each dish I taste. When typically at a buffet I'd find one or two dishes I really like, and just stick to those. Not at this place though. I'd fill my plate with my eyes closed and be happy every time if I thought I could do so without making a mess.

The vegetarian dishes were extremely over priced ($11 for a veggie kabob and rice? Seriously? A few vegetables, grilled, that's it. So nothing my wife and I got was impressive, and for the price, that's just unacceptable. If you're a vegetarian you might not want to bother. Though the meat eaters that were with us seemed to enjoy their meals. Though a bit over priced as well. The menu did have some fantastic sounding meat dishes, I have to say.

Pretty dang expensive, but you get what you pay for. Their Gyros are second to none. Their Greek potatoes will blow your mind. The guys that work there are super friendly as well. The biggest downside to Yanni's is that it's often incredibly hot inside, so eat outside whenever possible.

The menu is quite impressive, but the downside is that nearly all the drinks are powder based. So if you're looking for some fresh fruit based boba smoothies and the like, you'll be pretty disappointed. The avocado smoothie is one of the few that actually contains actual fruit.
