I don't see how this helps when all the AAA gaming titles are being developed against Windows-only APIs -- Steam is only a distribution platform, and I'm pretty sure I can already get the stuff that actually runs on Linux cheaply and easily, because 99% of it is indie stuff. Not that I don't like indie stuff, just that I'm not about to take Windows off my Big Gaming Laptop until another OS runs all the PC games I want to play.
A large number of AAA games run under Wine ( Not all of them, and not all of them run perfectly, but after checking the games I regularly play I'm fairly confident that I shouldn't need to dual-boot more than once or twice a month.
