We had a great family trip to Remlinger Farms last weekend. Elise loved the rides, I'm sure next year, her brother will be begging to get on a few of them too.

AngularJS $sce - Part 1 of my talk at the Seattle AngularJS meetup last night.
What is $sce and how do I use it? Why did Angular eliminate ng-bind-html-unsafe? How can I emulate the old behavior? How can I do better than emulating the o...

The +ng-conf videos are now online for all talks over the last two days: http://www.youtube.com/user/ngconfvideos. I was going to try to recommend a few that you really should watch if you're interested in AngularJS but I couldn't choose. I highly recommend any of the talks by members of the core Angular core team and the talks by the DoubleClick team.

Thanks Maurice. It is a very unique view of the city right down there on top of the convention center on the water.

Introduction
Hi, I'm Josh and I'm from Seattle.
I handcraft websites and mobile apps.
I have a passion for well designed interfaces.

I grew up in Spokane and moved to the west side of Washington to attend Western Washington University in 2002. While at Western, I earned a degree in Management Information Systems with two certificates from the Internet Studies Center.

During college, I worked as a PHP Developer for University Residences - I had the pleasure of learning from some great people during my years at Western and enjoyed every minute of it. Besides working and going to school, I was also a member of the National Youth Advisory Cabinet for Camp Fire USA for a few years where I traveled to various events around the country advocating on issues that I am passionate about.

After graduating from WWU, I moved down to the Seattle area and worked at Ascentium as a web developer. After working for clients like Microsoft, Nintendo, Starbucks and InfoSpace for few months, I succumbed to multiple solicitations from a college friend and left Ascentium to join a young startup in Seattle - treemo.com (now known as Treemo Labs).

I am now the Director of Platform Engineering at Treemo Labs and I've built some pretty kick ass software with some great people. We primarily build web, mobile web and native applications. I lead the platform team which works on all things web and the backend API that powers all of our native applications.

When I'm not writing code, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. My day is perfect when I have a chance to get outside, fly a kite or use my camera to take fun pictures.

By far the best coffee shop in the area. Knowledgable baristas, delicious coffee. Recently they've been experimenting with making original concoctions and I recommend trying anything out of the ordinary they brew up.

Great local hardware place. They seem to have all of the random small things I need to complete a project without going to the big box hardware stores farther away. Free soda is a plus too!

Fairly small, decent food court. Nothing worth going out of your way to go do or see here.

A fairly new, big sitting area inside with plenty of options. It's usually fairly crowded on the evenings and weekends but never had a problem finding a seat. Seems to be slightly slower than average to get a drink made here at this location. Had issues in the past with the internet not working at this location.

Good selection of stores. All of the standards and then some. Kids enjoy going to the Disney Store and the Lego Store.

Employees are always friendly. What more is there to say - it's Costco! Go get a $1.50 hotdog and soda. Go eat some samples and spend way too much money on all of the things you didn't plan on buying when you came into the store.

Hands down the best park in the area. Playground is completely fenced, the play surface is artificial turf that doesn't get kids dirty and is soft enough to keep then running after a fall. There's also multiple baseball fields and a nice large grass field. The grass field can get muddy when it's been raining but it's a nice large area.
