An affordable Canadian Rye -> Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye Review http://bit.ly/1LB7UZ7 #Canadian #Rye #Whisky
Admittedly I’m not the biggest fan of most Canadian whisky, but the Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye is actually not too bad. Pretty good one might even say.

An evening with the Laddie -> 14 Non-Finished Expressions of Bruichladdich Tasted http://bit.ly/1FIXAH4 #SingleMalt
The Malt Nuts met once again, bringing with us a selection of 14 different Bruichladdichs. Which, for a brand that once had an obscene number of expressions available once upon a time, doesn’t sound like much - but we’re nothing if not particular.

2 yr Rebel Yell + 2 yr MGP Rye = Rebel Yell American Whiskey Review http://bit.ly/1QU8TId #Rye #Bourbon #Whiskey #AmericanWhiskey
Rebel Yell American Whiskey = the sweetness of a wheater + the spice of a young rye and is exactly what Rebel Yell needs. It’s no secret that I’m not a huge fan of the regular Rebel Yell, but add some 2 yr MGP rye and boom… it tastes MUCH better.

.@Klwines alwasy makes good picks ->  K&L Buffalo Trace Single Barrel Review http://bit.ly/1Nilrnd #Bourbon #Whiskey
K&L picked out one hell of a Buffalo Trace Single Barrel. It’s smooth, rich and aggressive in all the right ways. The heavy oak that runs through the nose, palate and finish give the bourbon an overall nice essence that keeps me coming back for more.

A tasty young rye -> Rebel Yell Small Batch Rye Review http://bit.ly/1H7BQKn #Rye #Whiskey
Rebel Yell Small Batch Rye is a young MGP rye and if Willett has taught us anything it’s that young ryes can be tasty and this one fits that profile. It’s not very deep or complex, but what’s there is nice

Let's call it... interesting -> Samaroli Glen Scotia 1992 Review http://bit.ly/1GuUZEA #SingleMalt #Scotch #Whisky
The initial muddy aroma of the Samaroli Glen Scotia 1992 from the sulphur treated cask was abysmal, but a good portion of it did blow off after several minutes of swirling to add air and then letting it breathe.

Cutler's 33 Straight Bourbon Whiskey Review http://bit.ly/1GLfbQB #Whiskey #Bourbon
Cutler's 33 Straight Bourbon Whiskey is not quite as rich and complex as other bourbons that can be found in the 4-8 year range, but it’s pleasant to sniff and sip and that definitely counts for something.

Flask Fine Wines ME 25-26 -> Four Roses Single Barrel Review http://bit.ly/1IkIa29 #Bourbon #Whiskey #FourRoses
This particular Four Roses Single Barrel is great, but the bit of soap on the finish and the slight off-balance on the palate are what kept it out of the 90s for me.

A terrible whisky -> 1983 Glenesk 20 year Duncan Taylor Review http://bit.ly/1RB6y00 #SingleMalt #Scotch #Whisky
The 1983 Glenesk 20 year Duncan Taylor is awful. What few tasty notes exist are lack luster and don’t compensate for the menagerie of terrible flavors and aromas that were happening in that glass.

Has a strangely likeable quality -> Origine Irish Whiskey Review http://bit.ly/1SHUoEZ #Irish #IrishWhiskey #Whiskey
Origine Irish Whiskey is an interesting Irish Whiskey. It’s one of those situations where, despite some of its flaws, I end up kind of liking it. Of the low-priced Irish blends I have it’s the one I’ve gone back to several times since writing these notes.

Modern Rye Cocktail: Etrog & Rye - The Whiskey Jug http://bit.ly/1IrjJfd #Rye #Cocktail #Kosher
Etrog Liqueur is a Kosher lemon liqueur from Sukkah HIll Spirits that clocks in just 2% below whiskey level, registering itself as a 76 proof (38%) heavyweight in the category. It’s sweet, it’s all natural and best of all it goes well with whiskey! One of my favorite drinks in the summer is a glass of …

It's... a whiskey -> O’briens Irish Whiskey Review http://bit.ly/1IPAJ1e #irishWhiskey #Irish #Whiskey
The grain whiskey notes dominate the O’briens Irish Whiskey and they’re young and spirity notes at that. Probably 3 years to the day for all components involved and they don't exactly seem to be the highest level of components either.

It's the mexican version of a Subway. Choose your carbohydrate based vessel (tortilla, torta, shell, etc.) choose your meat filling and then your toppings. Nothing fancy, but it tastes good and is cheap. In this area it simply can't be beat for the price point.
