Introduction

SmarterTravel Managing Editor Josh Roberts is the editor of the Today in Travel blog as well as a frequent contributor. He has been with SmarterTravel since 2001.

A longtime adventure traveler, Josh's journeys have taken him from the jungles of Central America to the Highlands of Scotland, and many places in between. His favorite destinations include Easter Island, the Swiss Alps, Iceland, and Ireland.

In addition to his work for SmarterTravel, Josh also writes occasional destination features for the Boston Sunday Globe, New England's largest regional newspaper. His travel photography can be seen in Britain and Ireland's Best Wild Places, published by Penguin UK. He is a member of both the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) and the North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA).

Josh received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in history from Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts.
