Get down with #downtonabbey  one last time. Do it with +Wordy Ginters and me.
We're finally here. The last singles standing are wedded. Thomas is granted a reprieve. Old Man Duggan: We are mercifully let off the hook and no longer need to write about a show that's seen better days. Praise be to Allah. ...

Still running a week behind, but here are +Wordy Ginters and I talking about #DowntonAbbey  from two Sundays ago.
This episode may as well just have been titled Much Ado About a Home Tour. Once again, we're a week late, all of which is my OMD's fault. Once again, we come requesting your patience, but with the promise that this week's pro...

It may be a few days late, but +Wordy Ginters and I finally got around to writing up this week's #DowntonAbbey .
While the Carson's away, the Thomas will play butler. An old maid comes to dinner. Anna and Lady Mary run off in the dark of night to try to save the baby Bates. Old Man Duggan: Can I just say what a delight it was to have Br...

Come sit down with +Wordy Ginters and I while we lament the fact that this episode ever happened.
This week, the denizens of Downton Abbey do little of interest while dealing with wedding plans, hospitals, and bastard children of nobles. Old Man Duggan: Maybe the passability of the first episode this season did too much t...

Have thoughts about the #DowntonAbbey finale? So did +Wordy Ginters and I. Read 'em here.
Rich people shoot grouse at Hogwarts. A butler is a dick to Branson. Lord Grantham has chest pains. Rose saves the day. One couple calls it a day while another gets serious. Bates tries to take the heat for Anna. The house sa...

+Wordy Ginters and I chit and chat about the potential Bransonlessness of #DowntonAbbey
Edith is found in London. Lord Merton's sons are dickholes. Other stuff happens. Old Man Duggan: "He's a man. Men don't have rights." Or Robert would totally overreact to the news of Edith having let a man's penis penetrate h...

As promised, +Wordy Ginters and I get all caught up on this final season of Downton Abbey, talking of a day at the races.
The Crawleys have a day at the race track while most of the servants get time off to encourage Molesley and Daisy in their exams. Old Man Duggan: Judging from the tea-time light sniping between the sisters Crawley, it sure lo...

A week late, +Wordy Ginters and I chat about the bloody fifth installment of the final season of #DowntonAbbey.
Work delayed this entry a full week, but it will be followed quickly with this week's entry. The episode starts with more of the same--Daisy whining about Mr. Mason (despite a favorable resolution to his situation), forboding...

+Wordy Ginters and I chat about this week's episode of #downtonabbey
The denizens of the Abbey prepare for the wedding of the century while Lady Edith is away becoming an editor. Old Man Duggan: After a particularly dismal second episode to the sixth run of Downton Abbey, at least this one was...

As we enter the final season, +Wordy Ginters and I do what we do to the newest installment of the hit series #DowntonAbbey.
Old Man Duggan: It's 1925, and the more things change, the more they stay the same. We open on a fox hunt, and in a sly nod to the past Lady Mary gets all muddied up whilst jumping the brook, no doubt an Interwar euphemism of...

As always, +Wordy Ginters and I chat about the latest installment of #DowntonAbbey.
Rose and Atticus are wed. Anna gets taken away. Daisy gets drunk on London. Denker gets drunk. Old Man Duggan: Well at least some stuff happened this week. Sure, one of the things was the most predictable and tedious developm...

And this will make you regular.
Lady Rose meets a suitor in the rain. Branson says goodbye to one in the rain. It rains. Old Man Duggan: In the opening scene we have two references specific to the time. The first is in reference to the Moonella Group, the f...

I had a Monday off but had too many things to do around the house to be able to take Falkor out to the groomer. He looked as unkempt as I'd ever seen him, and it seemed to be manifesting itself in his general demeanor. I figured I'd try Austin Pet Care based on the recommendation of a friend, and I'll be damned if they weren't every bit as good as I'd been told. Ramon came by the house, and Falkor took a shine to him immediately. Usually he's a bit fussy when he's getting cleaned up, but he was surprisingly calm. Ramon had Falkor looking like his namesake in no time. Then I had a big call I had to take that was going to keep me occupied for at least an hour, and Ramon saved me by taking that handsome hound out on a walk. Worth. Every. Penny. Ramon was the best. I'm definitely using Austin Pet Care next time Falkor looks even the slightest bit unruly.
