A bit late posting this, so if you follow me on other social media, this is old news to you.
Here's an update on the DMing station I've been working on. I'm still working on the trim, but it's mostly done and has been used to glorious success last Saturday.
The board with the Forgotten Realms
logo on it lifts out. (Thanks to +Matt Glunt
for helping me design that bit, and to my dad for letting me use his table saw.) This way, I can change out the top at some possible future date. The idea is I will burn in the various campaigns I run into the surface, and have something of a victory plaque for every game I've DM'd in Faerun.
The DM screen bears Faerun's Calendar of Harptos, as well as the emblems of most of the deities in Toril, and the phases of the moon in a kind of knotwork pattern.
The storage box has two quotes on it, both from Shakespeare.
The one on the front has an elvish script, and is from As You Like It;
"All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players." The second quote is in English, and is from the opening of Henry V, one of my favorite Shakespearean plays. I liked the play on words invoked by applying them to tabletop RPGs, as they are in essence, acting around a table.
The storage area underneath holds my three core books, and a dice tray quite nicely. The top has room for me to set minis, hold stat cards, and so forth - as seen.
