It doesn't make sense to me that we have to fit the Internet into a box of either "telecommunications" or "TV/radio" for regulatory purposes. It's its own entity and probably deserves its own category. Regardless, though, the regulatory environment for the Internet should not just be whatever environment the bundled product sold with it is (TV). Back in dial-up days, we were still connecting to the same Internet, except over a phone line instead of via a cable modem or fiber optic network. If we were all still on dial-up connecting through ISPs that were dedicated phone companies, would we still be asking whether the Internet should exist in the same regulatory realm as TV?

Credit Card Rewards
Credit card rewards are complex. I'm certain that American Express and banks issuing various MasterCard and Visa cards intentionally complicate their rewards in an effort to obfuscate how much the cardholder would actually benefit from each card, forcing cu...

Yea, I stopped playing at the end of WotLK. Once I toppled the Lich King I just sorta lost interest in the story, plus the time commitment for raiding was starting to become a bear. Definitely feel the same about the homogenization of the classes. I do miss it sometimes, though. I have a Figureprint of my character on my desk, and sometimes I catch myself looking at it a little wistfully... good times.

Had a very pleasant experience staying at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich. The lobby was especially memorable, with birds chirping and a babbling brook.

Delicious, interesting food. Great place to enjoy a long, leisurely dinner. Servers were nice and mean well, but the service is slow, even when the restaurant was not yet at capacity. Highly recommend the focaccia, brussel sprouts and cavatelli pasta dish. Great food, great atmosphere, reasonable price, and an interesting on traditional Italian fare.
