As cities around the country, including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Seattle, pass or propose legislation to substantially increase the minimum wage for workers, debate has raged over the potential economic, social, and fiscal impact. Here are some of the pros and cons of raising the minimum wage

I disagree with the notion that fast food workers "settled" on those jobs. Talking to several workers, they're making the best of a bad situation or using it as a spring to a higher job.

The fact that they sometimes never leave is unfortunate.

Maybe I'm just not a developer, but setting up vagrant to test puppet modules seems very complicated.

Does anyone have a good walkthrough or experience with this?

+Josh Klar maybe?

I fixed this... eventually.

It was expecting ruby193, but I had 22. I had to unlink and relink with homebrew, and then reinstall bundle with the new ruby.

Complex.

Crust and Vinny Vanucci's are great places to eat, both on that block of 2nd-3rd and Main. I'm not familiar with any of those places you listed though, lol... been away too long. Two of my old best friends run a coffee shop called Jitterz at 11th & Main (near to a bookstore, some clothing shops, and other restaurants, kind of a neat area).

I have no idea how I have gone so long without knowing about this band. It's like Alestorm and Eluveitie had a baby.

Sort of.

I just set up a TFTP server for the first time. It was the easiest way to install gNewSense on this Lemote Yeeloong I have running the MIPS architecture.

You do something new every day.

+Christopher Boyer apparently you can send alerts from one host that cause nagios to alert on another host.

I'm specifically alerting from our tools host (that connects to a database server) on behalf of another host. That's handled using SNMP traps.

I'm going to wireshark the packets and compare them to see what's going on in a different configuration.

Dear +Domino's Pizza:

I've ordered twice from you this week (traveling woes) and both times I've asked for no cheese. Each time someone from the store has called me to confirm that I didn't want cheese.

I imagine this is an uncommon order, especially in Dubuque, IA. I'm just not sure if I'm making your employees' brains explode because I don't eat cheese.

Good on your employees for following up, though.

This is fantastic. I've heard about previous savants that were born with it, but acquiring it is new.

One savant that I heard about was a musical savant. He'd go to sleep listening to a new album only to wake up with the ability to play it on guitar.

It's completely nuts.

Yeah, that's not nearly as bad. CTA Blue Line is 24-hour so assuming I'm awake I could head up there at any point. I'll let you know (that hinges on whether I get approved & lease signed for the condo or not)

He's miles from home at this point. Hopped on at Reston and I dropped him off at a Silver Spring tree.

I bought a car here in June 2013. When I bought it, I believed it to be a steal at $2500. I just needed something to go a few miles to and from work. The employees and the owner told me that the car was in great shape except that it needed new tires and, sure enough, I got those replaced after buying the car. What they didn't tell me was that the car: 1. Needed new shocks and struts. Not cheap. After this one, I went back to the owner and asked him about this. He said "oh, maybe we can come to an agreement. I don't like to sell bad merchandise." Except that every time I tried to meet up with him (at least 5 times), he wasn't available or was out doing something. I would have even accepted an apology. 2. Needed new tire irons. After the last scenario, I didn't even try to talk to the owner about this. I fear the car now has electrical problems, which means that this thing has always been rotting from the inside out. Definitely a lemon. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, even my worst enemy.

I'm editing my review after having been here for eight months. I still stand by my comments that I, personally, haven't been having problems with bed bugs like some of of the others. However, my experience with management has changed. They don't allow sublets, so if you have an emergency and need to move the only way to get out of your lease if is someone signs a year lease on top of yours; needless to say, this is much less common. It's also fairly expensive, so, combined with the above, I feel that this is overall a place to avoid.
