Legacy Heart Center

The entire staff at the Legacy Heart Center is first class. The doctors are excellent and come very highly recommended. The support staff of various techs and administrative personnel are all very professional, very personable, and just a really great group of people who tend to all your needs in a very efficient and effective way. All my appointments have occurred as scheduled, except one (and it was only ten minutes late). The waiting area is very nicely done, very tasteful.

If I had one thing that I would ask them to change, it would be reading material. While there is a wealth of material on health related issues, I would appreciate the occasional Sports Illustrated, Car and Driver, or The Economist. Something to help occupy me when I arrive early for an appointment.

Bottom line, I would highly recommend this facility and its physicians/technicians.

Story
Tagline
A man of honesty, integrity, dedication, loyalty, responsibility, accountability, and a team player.
Introduction
Born and raised in SC and eastern TN. Moved to TX 25 years ago. Met wife 42 years ago and got married in 1972. Have three great kids and 2 grandkids. Played trumpet in the band from 7th grade through college. Served in the military from 1970 through 1973. I believe the world is far too consumed by hate, envy, self-absorption and self-deification. I believe that there is a divine power stronger and far greater than us (humans) in the universe. I believe that this divine power has given us this earth to be stewards of it during our earthly existence. I believe in the power of prayer and I believe that if we tried just a little each day to be more tolerant of each other and show some love to our neighbors that the human condition would improve dramatically.

I went specifically to the GI Lab at the Jonsson Hospital. The staff there is remarkable. They are all so efficient in what they do and how they do it. I was extremely pleased and would recommend the facility to anyone in need of GI services. I would not be fair in this review if I overlooked the staff in admissions. They processed me through to the GI Lab most effectively. I got prompt attention from the staff there and they were all attentive and making every effort to ensure that everyone was processed through to their departments in the most efficient way possible. I give high marks to the Baylor staff in general since they all participated in the process of getting me taken care of when I was there. It is a great facility just like all the other Baylor facilities that I have used.

I recently had a kidney stone removed that was too large for me to pass. My doctor was Dr. Mark Allen. Dr. Allen is a very thorough doctor and he made sure that I was aware of all aspects of the procedure and the follow-up for the procedure. He made sure that I understood what I would experience as part of the process of putting a stent into place and how that would effect me physically. He made sure that I knew all the details, which I greatly appreciated. The procedure itself was a non event, performed at Baylor Frisco (a wonderful facility with an equally wonderful staff). In my follow-up, Dr. Allen and I discussed future actions that could and/or would take place. Overall, I would rate my experience with Dr. Allen as being one of complete comfort with his professionalism and thoroughness. I would highly recommend Dr. Allen for those seeking a physician who truly cares about his patients and ensures that they are well equipped with knowledge and understanding of what his procedures entail and what possible side effects, if any, might be felt.
