So what, you ask, has been the highlight of my 2015 year so far?

Getting to correspond with +NASA Ames Research Center for an article!

A recap of +Google ATAP's #ProjectTango  and NASA's Smart SPHERES aboard the #ISS , plus a small tease of what is in store.

Back in July of last year, crew members aboard the International Space Station (ISS) received a very special payload of devices from Google’s Advanced Technologies and Projects team. The prototype ...

I really enjoyed writing this article. I had to suppress my laughter the entire time... And that picture from Science Over A Cuppa had me rolling!

Another day, another round of media pundits pumping out quick articles detailing how Google is falling behind and Apple is the chief innovator of the technology world. So what is a reader or investor to do about all this news? Take it for what it is: a…

Tom Moss of Nextbit discusses how Google needs to bring something new to the table in order to break the status quo between #android  and #ios . Especially when it comes to #androidforwork .
If you're an Android owner, you've probably experienced an iPhone-owning friend or family member asking you about whether or not they should switch to Android. For me, this question has increased i...

A part of the Google Cultural Institute, the Google Art Project has already been talked about quite a bit this year. Back in March, it added 5,000 new pieces of street art to its collection and eve...

In the source article, there was an interesting comment about how this whole overheating issue may be a big conspiracy by Samsung to herd people towards the Exynos processor.

At this point, looking at the data provided from this side-by-side comparison, I'm only left with more questions. The tests run by the source are experiences that a normal user would find themselves in when using a Snapdragon 810-powered smart device, but I would like to know what stress tests were being performed that even prompted LG to state that there were overheating issues initially.

Check out my full article below.

In a recent study using side-by-side comparison, online blog STJS Gadgets Portal is reporting that overheating issues with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 may be blown out of proportion. The comparison...

Hubble Observes Jupiter & 3 moons transiting

A relatively rare "triple occultation" of Europa, Callisto & Io was visible to astronomers late last month. Not only are we able to see three of the four Galilean Moon, but we're seeing their shadows on the face of the planet at the same time!

The +Hubble Space Telescope team chose to observe this event that happens once or twice a decade and wow amd I glad they did!

This is a small version of the animation that came from stills taken by Hubble. It's also the topic of today's #HubbleHangout  at noon Pacific/3pm Eastern! RSVP to the event here: http://goo.gl/cccsZV

Wrote an app review of an awesome custom launcher, SF Launcher 2, by +Jack Thakar!  Nice work, Jack, and I love your music widget too.  I've been using that app for a while now.

Special thanks to +Justin Herrick, who first reported on Jack's upgrade to his original launcher.

Kirt McMaster of +CyanogenMod / +Cyanogen Inc. wants you to know that in the future, the reign of King Cid will be glorious and filled with pancakes.

After I get done reading about whatever it is McMaster has recently said, I can never tell if I really like him or if I'm really repulsed by him. I kind of feel the same way about him as I did/do about Steve Jobs.

Many things in our world splinter into a variety of subsects. Some of which are political parties, Protestant denominations, and Linux distributions, which includes Android. They all have something...

Introduction
If you're looking for the legend, you've probably typed his name wrong in Google and wound up here.

In 2011, Joseph bought his first smartphone: Sprint's variant of the Samsung Galaxy SII, the Epic 4G Touch. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Joseph has been an occasional journalist since his college years at the University of Oklahoma, where he was an opinion columnist for the OU Daily. His main interests have always been science and technology, especially gadgets.
He lives in Oklahoma City with his wife of nearly 10 years. They have two dogs and two cats and, being animals, are jobless and do not support the family income.
Bragging rights
I once convinced my father to crawl under a rattlesnake infested boulder to retrieve a cell phone I conveniently dropped under it.
