Elizabeth Taylor Trust initiates $8.8 million lawsuit vs. +Christie's over Taj Mahal diamond necklace Richard Burton gave to Ms. Taylor.

Estimated at $300K-$500K, 17th century jeweled necklace sold for $8.8 million. Although the Christie's catalogue stipulated there was proof the necklace was worn or owned by Nur Jahan, a Mughal emperor, the Buyer requested and Christie's agreed to rescind the sale.

Google launches business building update to Photos.

Google Launches Greatly Enhanced Business Photos

A snippet from the article:

BUSINESS PHOTO CATEGORIES

✔ Identity photos - 3 Sub-categories: Profile | Logo | Cover
✔ Interior photos
✔ Exterior photos
✔ Product photos
✔ Team photos
✔ Additional photos

NOTE: The different photo cards (categories) inside the GMB photos dashboard don't affect where the photos show up live on the listing (except for cover or profile images.) So the cards for interior, exterior, product, staff photos are just to help the owner organize photos.

I wanted to point out a couple important benefits that are subtle and could be overlooked.

CHOOSE PREFERRED IMAGE - Users can choose what image they would "prefer" to show up when people search for them on Google. (NOTE: Not guaranteed, but it's a way to signal Google which image you prefer.)

With the usual overly subtle GMB UI, this feature is easy to miss. On the "Identity Photos" card, see 3 small almost invisible dots at top right? That's where it offers the chance to "Select the photo you recommend to show first on Google Maps and Search." So you can select Profile, Logo or Cover.

CLICK AND DRAG TO REORGANIZE - Like I said, the different sections don't affect where the photos show up live on the listing - it's just to help you stay organized.

Initially all or most of your existing photos will be dropped into "additional photos". So just drag them to a different card if you like. I had an existing picture of a polar bear in additional photos for Linda's Snow Shop. I just dragged it up to "Staff Photos".

LOGOS - Now Google allows, even encourages you to add a logo. (In the past they didn't really like you to upload logos to your local listing.)

Google+ Profile Makeover
Google+ provides the blank slate for a solid social media profile with unlimited link and text opportunities. Compared to the scarcity of a bio on Twitter and Instagram with minimal text and link opportunities, Google Plus is the place to maximize your social business with solid information to attract your ideal customers and fans alike. Combine this with a stunning image for your cover photo and you’ll see that Google+’s profile can be a home run for you or your business.

Miami, Florida watch buyer buys defective watch +Auctionata online auction described by Expert in great condition with no FUNCTIONAL PROBLEMS sent with incorrect box; instead of fixing situation, handled poorly, lack of user consideration.

Instead of immediately remedying situation, over month wasted to obtain replacement box;  bizarrely #Auctionata refused to pay for repairs in light of  Expert's condition deception.

New on Google search : Easy to scan search carousels that will surface your users' favorite content on Google mobile search!

This new feature (available only on google.com, in English for now) will help surface high quality, fresh/popular content for specific queries. Clustering the results together by the source of the content will help users choose the best possible suggestion and save a mobile-click.

You can help our algorithm select the proper images or titles for your carousel results by following our rich snippets guidelines on our developers site. In particular the guidelines for Articles: https://developers.google.com/structured-data/rich-snippets/articles
Videos: https://developers.google.com/structured-data/rich-snippets/videos

Note that this markup is purely advisory - Our system use a variety of signals to determine which content to display in SERPs. Just like with Rich Snippets, we do not guarantee showing content you marked up.

Superb food & service by the entire staff. All our guests enjoyed the five course tasting menu and raved about the quality and attention to detail. Dessert was amazing and the wine list extraordinary. A great restaurant that is always excellent.
