There's something sinister about dressing a homeless person in a suit, making them look pretty, and pretending that they've made everything better.

As if we say, hey, this is how you COULD look, if your life wasn't so fucked up. This is what you can aspire to. This is the epitome of how someone ought to look.

Their appearance is not the problem. I understand that it may perhaps inspire the person, or help the public to understand that homeless people aren't inhuman (as some people tend to think - see bumfights). But all of this from the way somebody looks?

To hear he has started vising AA is much more compelling for me than seeing anyone dressed in a silly suit.

Have terrible lag when using two-finger-scroll on Google Drive documents.

I'm assuming that this is not a unique case; and I think it takes away from the experience of using Google Drive (on the Pixel) for writing my reports!

I would agree with you.

Surely most of the information is cached though. Or perhaps when you scroll over it, it is re-caching, or re-checking the cached data to make sure it's accurate.

I'm not exactly sure.

Thanks all for the help.

An addition to my wall, arguably the best piece of marketing Apple ever produced.

How to suck at your religion: Ask questions in church. Never feel ashamed or worried to question anything you might have doubts in believing, especially in 2012 when we have so much knowledge at our fingertips. If you have doubts, seek evidence. If there is none, it might be bullcrap. If there is none after 2000 years, it almost certainly is.

A morning thought from Moby:

@thelittleidiot: last year in the uk there were 39 murders involving guns. last year in the u.s there were 9,970. please don't say that regulations dont work.

Or how about this...

@thelittleidiot: or, per capita: u.s had 14.2 gun deaths per 100,000 people. ireland had .95. scotland had .54. japan had .005. gun regulations save lives.

Definitely some startling numbers to think about that Moby shared this morning.

Kinda puts it into perspective after yesterday's horrific devastation in Colorado.
