Just did my first reflection sheet of the school year. Making students reflect on their practice will hopefully lead them to think about how they learn better ... and how I can respond to their needs, too.

Wow. We are really like minded. I have started reflections this year also. I gave the first one after my first assessment. I asked the students to identify where they performed well and where they didn't. I also asked why they thought they did or didn't do well and how I can help them have a better understanding of the standards we cover. I have used some guided prompts for it now but my hope is that as the year moves on I can just have a few questions and they can fill in the reflection with no guidance. I also would like to use it more frequently. Would like their input on my instruction.
