Also on GA's Site Search reports... There should be a native report to analyze terms that return zero results - it's very important data for ecommerce analysis.  We're using events for this, is anyone using anything else - i.e. a search category of "No Results"?

Hm, the category idea just came to mind, it might actually work rather effectively, any thoughts?  I'll ask for a test and share.

Is anyone leveraging the datalayer to capture internal site search terms?

We have a bit of a challenge using the actual URL structure for parameters or filters and this seems like the next best thing... or the actual best thing?

Feels like GA should consider making a datalayer friendly option for site search reports to be populated...

+Jose Uzcategui I think I hear what you're saying.  Sometimes you're using a search results page will be the landing page from some traffic source.  Site Search reports will report a search, but indeed a query was not performed by the user.

In that case, the dataLayer will be very useful for you.  Additionally, consider event tracking on the search form itself.  Normally, I don't like to track the search form on the site as I find it duplicates the Site Search tracking, but in your case it will be useful.  Bottom line, the data layer key for internalSearchTerm which only is present after your internal search receives a POST will be the cleanest implementation.

Great ambience. Delicious fancy dessert and tea. Pricey. At least one order per person. Wish i had order a second tea rather than a second dessert, they're bigger than the photos suggest.

Delicious but feels a bit small. Ordered the sesame and the #1 人気. They were both tasty. The regular portion is smaller than the usual ramen place, but good if you're not on a mission to get stuffed. Overall it was a crammed but great place.

Great cheesecake, awesome ambiance... service is not that good, but not bad either. Overall, the soft, not overly sweet cake is worth the visit. Plus... I'm writing this whe listening to the owner play a cool piano tune in fromt of me :)
