McDonald's must have gotten the message that its new Happy Meal mascot is the stuff of nightmares, because its latest branding pivot has the bland appeal of a stock photo. Mashable has the scoop...

PSA: You can now locate your phone just by Googling it! For obvious reasons, I took the screenshot before it honed in on my exact location. Aside from finding your phone, you can also do the following commands straight from Google and they'll appear on your phone:

find my phone
send directions
note to self
take a note
set an alarm

It's great to see tighter integration between the browser and Android. Though this might not exactly be earth shattering, it's super convenient, especially if you are too busy or lazy to get your phone.

Opeth - Reverie / Harlequin Forest
I've probably heard this song a couple dozen times since becoming an Opeth fan (2008) but sometimes a song just resonates with you and you can't to stop listening to it. This has been my earworm of the week! Such an incredibly written song. The mixture of melody, musicianship, and brutality are unparalleled. Have a great weekend everyone, and enjoy!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have a hard time with growling as well. I really have to be feeling tolerant of it. I also can't get into any kind of religious lyrics whatsoever. I might also be between Heaven and Hell. You got to bleed for the dancer! Hahaha. You'll like Heritage and Damnation. There is no growling in either of those albums.

My favorite of the Marvel Universe films so far. It had action, plenty of wisecracks and double entendres, and a great story! It reminded me of why I loved comics so much as a kid, and now. Highly recommended! Joss Whedon hit it out of the park again!

I generally stay away from 3D because there is too much going on and my brain is not quick enough to process all the information that is going on. Maybe that's why I always feel like I'm going to get a bloody nose when I watch stuff in 3D.

I'm not going to lie, my reaction to the Star Wars trailer yesterday was very much like Matthew McConaughey's. An amalgamation of tears and laughter! I've never looked more forward to Christmas in my life!

Just in time for #StarWarsTuesday, all 6 Star Wars films will be available to purchase digitally for the first time on April 10th! $90 is a little to sick though, so hopefully they put them on sale soon!

Introduction

I don't look douchey all the time. Just in pictures and in person. Also, I like cookies!

I’m a very laid back person with a multitude of interests. I’ll try to describe some briefly, because no one likes to read long boring lists.

I’m a Secular Humanist and a Skeptic. Most people have no idea what this means. Secular Humanists embraces logic and reason, ethics, social justice and natural law, while rejecting religious dogma, supernaturalism, pseudoscience or superstition as the basis of morality and decision making. As a Skeptic, I embrace science and the scientific method. To quote Dr. Carl Sagan "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence". Anecdotal evidence is not evidence.

I love Google and Android. I will praise them when they do something awesome. I will also criticize them when they do something stupid or something that doesn’t make sense. I love technology and am usually an early adopter of new tech, so far as my limited budget will allow.

I love music, as long as it’s upbeat. I don’t like listening to slow depressing stuff. Metal is my favorite, mainly Progressive.

Horror is my favorite genre when it comes to movies, books, and TV shows. Right now, I’m kind of obsessed with zombies and The Walking Dead. I also love Science Fiction and Comedies, though I tend not to obsess about those types of genres as much, except for Star Wars.

Laughing is my favorite thing to do. If you can make me laugh, you’ve probably won my friendship. I love all Science, but I’m particularly interested in Physics and Astronomy. I enjoy road trips. For me, the trip is a lot of times more fun than the destination. I enjoy trying out new things, particularly food and beer.

My first and only experience there was negative. The bartenders were very nice, but one of the bouncers was a total jerk and kicked me out for standing too close to the stairs. I will never go back again.

Great burgers! Probably the closest you'll come to In-N-Out in El Paso! I especially like that additional toppings are at no extra charge. They also give you a ridiculous amount of fries, which is good, because they are delicious! Now if only they would do the burgers and fries Animal Style!

Excellent beer paired with excellent food! I initially was interested in checking out this restaurant because of the brewery, being a craft beer aficionado. The fact that the food was excellent also was a big plus, although it is a little pricey, especially for the portion size.

Best pizza joint in town in my opinion. The lasagna is pretty good too! They close the entire month of July, so you better have your fill before then, or else you'll be jonesing until August!

One of my favorite bars and the burgers are the best in town. Their selection of craft beer will give any beer snob a hard on! Plus, I kind of have a crush on one of the waitresses. Shhh... Don't tell her I told you. Try the Blanche De Bruxelles and Le Fin Du Monde!
