Hi everyone!

So I've installed Arch a couple days ago. Everything works just fine but there's this one thing that bothers me. The sound that comes from PulseAudio is just too loud. I have to set the sound values to a reasonable minimum. Also, sometimes I feel that Pulse forgets about some of my manual definitions for certain apps.

One thing I notice is that `pactl set-sink-volume 0 5%` hears roughly the same as 10% or even 20%.

Any suggestion you guys might have to have normal sound values? Am I missing something in the picture?

Thanks!

The main issue I have is with the sound being too loud, really. Per-application settings may be something I've misinterpreted.

Great idea, Casanis. I'll try this on the server I play.

Good old KDE. Mirror post from the forums.

Update: the font there is Inconsolata but I'm using Source Code Pro now.

If you guys don't know, I've started a series on building an application using Ember.js a month back, you can check my Youtube channel to know more.

To those that were looking forward to the series, I haven't left it to oblivion. Truth of the fact is I've been loaded with work and also August deserves a little vacation time so I've been keeping it a low speed lately.

I apologize for not keeping up. Still, don't give up! If you're interested in joining the series, bang at my door! Show your interest and support the endeavor. I promise to keep you posted.

Have a great Summer you guys! Thanks for being patient.
