It's supposed to be a sine wave.

It's not looking good for NYC power. (Thanks to +John Olsson for the scope shot).

SoHo is dark already...

Interesting list.  More folks in industry should write posts like this.  It's often hard to tell what's important when you're not "on the inside".

I understand Nate Silver is clearly biased in his political views, but his methodology is clear and open, leading me to conclude that his model is NOT biased. Why is there so much push-back on Nate Silver's model? Because Obama is crushing Romney in it? I mean, the model may be incorrect, but biased? I doubt it. His model's results in 2008 were near perfect -- 49/50 states correct (it got Indiana wrong, saying it would go to the GOP and it went for the Dems). Also, the model got all 35 senate races correct. That's almost as accurate as it gets and why I continue to follow his results closely, on a daily basis.

I agree with you, but are you surprised? As opposed to the decades old attacks on mainstream media, attacking the Congressional Budget Office when their results are not to the GOP's liking, attacking job statistics when they point to recovery, attacking scientists when our results point to environmental issues that a free-market ideology can't address. One of the biggest hits right now on the right is some guy who declares that most polls are skewed and takes it upon himself to "unskew" the polls by fudging the numbers.
