The people claiming that snappy is "fragmenting linux" are really going to flip out when they find out Android and ChromeOS is also linux.

I'm very nervous about Snappy and can't possibly see it working out in reality. People hated the hell out of UAC and you're bringing a much more restrictive model to the desktop. I'm not looking forward to how much hassle it's going to be to develop in a post-snappy world, where I have one codebase and dozens of different program that need full access to it. Now Sublime Text can't index my codebase, fish can't cd to it, the system has to double check on me whenever I open a file with vim, git doesn't get to read my SSH keys, Chrome dev tools don't work, …Jul 8, 2015
