Check out the Google DLP API in the Google APIs Explorer. It won't work for the inspect storage methods since those require permissions that can't be granted via the Explorer, but it's a good way to play with inspect/redact to see how it may work on your own data.

This week's cooking experiment - cinnamon rolls, using the Anova sous vide device for rising the bread. I've had no luck in the past raising bread - so was excited by the precision this would give me when it comes to temperature control. It worked pretty well - albeit I wished I had a shorter bin and a heavier metal bowl that wouldn't float. At the end it seemed best to set the temperature was about 100F when with the metal bowl, and 110 with the glass dish.

Inspired by +Yonatan Zunger's post, I thought I would share with folks, that as of last week, I too have joined Google’s Privacy Engineering team!

After many years working on consumer products, I’m excited to switch to working on the infrastructure that will allow other’s to build great and safe products. It’s an area I’m passionate in helping Google get right, and I’m excited to join a team dedicated to it.

My new team in Seattle has already launched a ton of things, including the backends which powered the launch the Data Loss Prevention service in Gmail. We’ll be working up some new and fantastic things for you all which I hope I can share more about soon!
