Nice staff but overpriced for what you get. We paid an extra $30 to "upgrade" to a room with a toilet all to be too hot due to no AC in the room. Open the window to cool off and have to listen to loud locals and the train. So at 1 AM we gave up on trying to sleep and drove back to SLC.

Pros: - Didn't sweat $1 sq ft bid difference in carpet we selected - Owner came down and fixed sagging door that the construction caused. - Gave me a free electrical outlet install upon request - Credited me for damages caused from poor delivery miscommunication and actions. - Paid for expensive window shutter installation after their PM promised. He was later fired for causing so many issues with me and others. - Nice owners. Manners questionable. Cons: I could go on all day with examples of each bullet: - Didn't hold up to their process in the sales process that they said they do. - Terrible internal communication and an inability to communicate needs with employees and contractors - Employees don't act on what the company sells in terms of process and communication - Sub-par quality (e.g. uneven drywall, bumps, dings and holes) - Require a lot of micromanagement and reminders - Don't listen or note requests as they should - Never responded when I emailed them about the works leaving the gate open and my dog escaping - Contract out quite a few things though claim everything's done from in-house employees - Forgot many basic items - Many examples of unprofessionalism in areas while very professional in others - My dad, a construction worker, said they did poor quality work to the trained eye. - Installers said they cut corners on plumbing with pipes and plates, and ran it wrong thus leading to them drilling through a water main and flooding my basement the day after finishing. - Basement didn't pass inspection. Had to come back and move light, twice. Summary: I feel bad complaining about their because they covered so many expenses and things for me that they didn't have to, I feel, to make it up to me. But people need to know what they're up against before hiring these guys.

Con artists, scammers, liars, and crooks! First of all, I've had a Whipple magnet on my fridge and have used them for years. I THOUGHT I liked these guys. I was once a monthly VIP member too. Until I found out they've been ripping me off and lying to me the whole time. Oh, and that magnet is good for $35 of service each time they come. That was only used once, when they first gave it to me, they didn't honor that any other time they visited. I started understand their high-sale, you need this you need that lies after my AC went out recently. It had stopped blowing cold air. They came out and told me I need a whole new AC system in order to repair it. And while I'm doing that I should replace the furnace too for good compatibility. The quality options they gave me were $15-$16k. Feeling pressured to act now (because $4k savings they said) I wrote a check and they sent out their install guys that night. Thank God that the install guys thought it was too late in the evening to even start because it gave me the night to research average costs and call my dad to see what he thought. Come to find out, I'd been Whippled once again. My dad has his friend come out and all the guy did was pull the magnet covers I have over my main floor vents to show me my AC was just freezing up. It works fine now! So luckily I was able to cancel. But that's the reasons they send techs over same-day, no matter the time, to get you in service before you have a chance to research and change your mind. To make matters worse, Whipple took home my overpriced (usually $20 but i paid over $200 and debatebly unneeded hard start kit for my AC they sold me the year prior. I had to have them come back and put it on again. Oh, and the week before, I had Whipple to come out to swap out basic trim in my bathroom. The guy quoted me $225 to replace the cosmetic base ring at the base of the shower-head. I laughed, said no, and did it within 5 seconds after he left. He came some lie about how it'll scratch up the piping if I do that and he has to take that all out. Lies. He also didn't give me proper options for my garden tub trim but that's another story. $70 house call fee for nothing (and of course no $35 off for the magnet). After venting my issues with them to others I have heard many other horror stories. I advise to stay FAR away from these guys. They are in the business of selling you things you don't need and making you think you do need them.

These guys don't listen, screw up, don't finish the job they intended, and make no apologies for it either. I had 'em bid out doing covers on my gutters, apparently they missed one of the gutters in the bid, and even then they didn't even do half the gutters they bid when they did the project. I didn't find out until next fall when I was on my roof. At that point, they came out to do the rest but still charged me for doing covers on a gutter they should have bid and charged for the first time. Even when explaining this whole situation and the problem to them, they still didn't get it. And they didn't communicate that to their guys coming out for the job. Had to re-explain to several people several times. They just showed up one day too without notifying and prior to the appointment date.

They first came out to my home to remove 3 tree stumps and all 3 trees were fairly small. It was a surprise when they actually showed up because it was days after regularly schedule but I could understand because there was bad weather the days before. BUT they should have let me know I was post-poned and when they were coming. I had left a voicemail for them days prior about wanting to do the extra two trees while they were there and no response. Luckily, when talking to them, they were able to do it same day. All was competitively priced well!! They mostly did a good job but left some pretty heavy stumps/roots that they missed that were hard for me to dig out. And the two trees in the back they only grinded down to ground level leaving me to call them back to come finish the job for an extra $100 that they quoted. I was fine with that but that conversation happened March 26 and I bought trees to plant on March 25th. After 4 email/call/text requests to find out what week they were coming out, after no response, I finally told them to let me know or I will cancel. Of course they responded to that message letting me know that they should have been there Saturday. When I told them they didn't come then they said they'd be over tomorrow. Well when tomorrow came I texted with no response. After calling they said they were running late and maybe tomorrow. Well tomorrow was a rainy day so the day after I called and they said their machine was down until the weekend. I told them to forget it and called someone else to come finish their job, and this is as of today, April 10th. It took over 2 weeks of trying to get them to come back, or at least just tell me when they are, to finally say forget it. Sadly, each night I had put the trees in the shed at night, bring them out in the morning to prevent freeze. And then be sure to water every other day. Had these been planted I could have been at ease. The overall theme here is poor communication, non-reponsive, not professional, not apologetic, and flakey customer service. I do not recommend going with them.
