I am intrigued by streams of expressions of strings of bits of 1's and 0's.

"Edward Witten/String theory powered artificial neural network".

(also known as the "Supersymmetric Artificial Neural Network")

How to build one?

Giant diagram showing how an artificial neural network works; by allowing error signals (aka changes in costs) to "trickle" backwards from the output layer.

For example, by “trickling backwards” a value computed by neuron j in some layer L, becomes input for some prior neuron in layer L-n.

Artificial Neural Networks are taking the world by storm, as they can amplify all facets of human knowledge/produce.

The Jamaican government is already urging youths to prepare for the 4'th industrial revolution, machine learning!

..but sometimes even smart programmers have a difficult time actually getting into artificial neural networks, due to the barrier of either lack of time, and or the fact that artificial neural net tutorials tend to skip a lot of the actual intuition behind these powerful learning algorithms, hence painting a false picture of high difficulty.

The tutorials online tend to merely show steps without the intuition behind these learning models. As a result after going through these tutorials; people tend to either fail to get learning models working, or get them working without grasping what is going on, and so they don't progress much further.

As an example, 2 years ago, after going through a c++ neural net tutorial, roughly 2 weeks from seeing and thinking about the lecture, although I wrote a simple neural net from scratch in java, and it actually worked well, I didn't grasp what was going on well!

Inspired by a recent stream of clear lessons on artificial neural networks on youtube by an author called Grant.. I have written (and revised many times) what is perhaps the easiest tutorial on artificial neural networks that exists out there today.

It goes through all the Math symbols while painting a very simple but intuitive and very detailed picture of what is going on in neural networks so beginners can get into it more easily. Other tutorials tend to skip a lot of the intuition that's taking place, and this is probably why the machine learning field is short of experts.
