Just back from a camping trip in Northern France. This Chateaux was completely destroyed in the 15th century and then quite some time later fully restored to it's original glory.

This is an acrylic painting I finished yesterday. I still have a lot to learn but I am getting more and more comfortable with it.

I was trying to create a landscape with the striking colours of poppies but I feel I was a little heavy handed with the poppy colour and the darker grass in the valley. I have learned a good deal from this one which will help with the next!

I have created a G+ page where I will put honey bee related posts etc. I will still be posting bee stuff to my personal profile along with my other interests. So those who would prefer to just hear about my bee adventures may find this newly created page more interesting.

These are some of the photos from a recent walk along a disused railway line. The walk is made from former lines of the M&GN (Midland and Great Northern) network which linked large parts of Norfolk with the middle of England and beyond. In total it is 26 miles linking Norwich to Aylsham which can be enjoyed on foot, by bike or even on horseback.

Although this was just last weekend, the weather has been unseasonably warm and loads of animals, birds and insects are taking advantage of the late foraging available.

Just discovered that my HTC Wildfire is no longer a compatible device for Google+ mobile app. The mobile app makes it far easier to interact and create and share content since I am not at a computer all the time.

+Bradley Horowitz are there plans to include the HTC Wildfire (Android 2.2.1) in the supported devices for the mobile G+ app again?

This is a recent painting I have just about finished. This is loosely based on the view from Cromer pier. I am going to use this composition on a canvas which my mother bought me a few months back.

I enjoy painting and I'm learning with each picture I paint. Thank you for calling me an artist, you never know what you may discover about a friend the longer you know them....

This is a painting I am doing for my father. It's a practice one which I quite like. Just need to sort out the foreground as it's not graduated enough for what I would like.

Tornado arrived at Norwich station this afternoon pulling the cathedrals express from Bassingstoke. It was great to be there for the arrival and get a few pictures but it was quite busy, so getting near the engine was tough.

I have just posted a quick news article on my bees website. It's an update on how things are going in my apiaries.

I hadn't thought about that. Is that something you have tried?
Fascinated by Honey Bees partly driven by my love of sweet things!
I have grown up in Norfolk but I have recently started to enjoy traveling. I have spent a lot of time in Italy and found I really like living there so when it's a good time, I hope to live there again.

I really enjoy photography and the great outdoors. So every chance I get you'll find me out camping and trying my best to capture some of the amazing views I see.

I also dabble a bit with acrylic painting. It's something I really enjoy and I'm learning a lot with each painting. Both my Mother and maternal Grandmother are artistic and both give me a lot of encouragement to get the brush in the paint....

Another of my many hobbies is guitar playing. I have played since my early teens when I enjoyed many years of lessons with Jim Knights of Norwich. I enjoy playing but have never matched my brothers abilities. He played in bands etc and really enjoyed being on stage. I'm quite shy and hate being the centre of attention so stayed away from performing live.

I also volunteer on the North Norfolk Railway in the Steam train operations department. I enjoy my time on the footplate and I am learning a lot about steam engines.

I stayed for two nights at this camp site and really enjoyed it despite the poor weather. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the facilities are of a high standard and beautifully clean. I look forward to staying here again.

This is my favourite camping and caravan club site. It has excellent washrooms and is nicely positioned. I have been visiting this site for many years and will continue to stay whenever I get the chance.

The welcome was really nice which was ideal at the end of a day on a motorbike. The site is set back quite a way from the roads and is nicely nestled in amongst trees. The site is also undulating so some pitches are more sloped than others but you can choose where to pitch your tent to suit your own needs. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay even though it rained heavily and I will be happy to stay again when I am in the area.

A camp site with beautiful scenery. The facilities are basic at the moment but the completion of the new block will elevate that to a decent level. The owners, as other reviewers have mentioned, are very friendly and welcoming. This is an ideal base to explore the area from with stunning, off-road walks directly from the site. I will definitely be returning to enjoy this site again!

This is one of my favourite chip shops and certainly the best in Norwich. You have to go a long way to get better chips.
