New on my blog :)
It's surprisingly hard to get a consistent answer to the question, "What should I eat for maximum health and longevity?" Almost everyone can agree on the consumption of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and a plant-based diet overall. But animal foods, legumes, and grains are consta

Finally found a good gratitude journaling app. 10% greater happiness, here I come.
Practicing gratitude can make us healthier, happier, and more enjoyable to be around. But I've found both gratitude letters and journaling to be a pain. Gratitude letters are hard to make time for – writing a genuine letter to someone is not a quick, five-minute task. The gratitude apps I sa

New blog post from yours truly! :)
The following is a cross-over post from my other blog, JonGuerrera.com. On that blog, I write about topics I consider very personal, but in the case of today's post, it was applicable to Living for Improvement as well. The topic? The interplay of attachment and gratitude, and how one doesn'

Latest blog post! The one rule for success in my career that has carried me farthest.
This post was originally featured on inspassioniary.com, a blog dedicated to sharing the stories of people who follow their passion. The topic at hand – the one rule I follow that has had the most impact on my career – has relevance here too, so I've decided to repost it. Enjoy! In my second

I saw a lot of success and a lot of failure in 2015. I've also learned a lot about myself from reflecting on both (but especially the failures). Bring on 2016!
As the year comes to an end, I find myself reflecting more than usual. It's during these times that I like to report on the challenges I've faced and the goals I've hit (not unlike James Clear's yearly integrity report). Overview I started this year in a health crisis, fighting

My latest post is live! Hope you like it :)
Lately, I've been bombarded with ads on YouTube featuring people who want to sell me the secret to wealth and success. A great example is Tai Lopez, who puts on a facade of a modest, yet uber-successful entrepreneur who possesses the secret to becoming wealthy. (His latest sales tactic: humb

Hi friends! I've been doing the AIP diet protocol for over a year now and I've learned a lot along the way. If #AIP   or #autoimmune   #paleo  interests you, but the thought of not eating out is too much to bear, check this out -- I bet you'll learn something useful. :)
If there's one thing I've learned from over a year of doing AIP, it's that maintaining your social life is crucial for long term success. Unfortunately, eating out with friends is a key component of my social life. When I...

Have some new learning goals in 2016? Here's how to learn faster in LESS time.
Five years ago, I downloaded Evernote with glee. As someone with a terrible memory, I had long been searching for a great digital notebook, and Evernote fit the bill. Searchable notebooks? Checklists? Syncing with all of my devices? Yes please. Nowadays, that feeling of glee has been replaced wit

It's fascinating to look back and see where you were just one year ago. In my case, I was still furiously typing away at coding tutorials and example apps, which ended up changing my career for the better. I'd highly recommend taking the plunge if you're considering learning to code. :)
Learning to code is no joke. There’s so much to learn over and above any one programming language alone. Unit testing, version control, various frameworks and libraries, HTTP, regular expressions, various APIs, data structure (XML, JSON, etc.), and more. Though, I’m happy to admit that, after ro
