Your discussion of rituals sounds a lot like Malcolm Gladwell's contention that one needs 10,000 hours of experience in any endeavor to become an expert.  Good points in this episode.

As an informed Jewish American who has been to Israel and who has studied the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict I see the current conflict in Gaza as a battle between good (Israel) and evil (Hamas).  At the same time I understand that pictures of dead and injured Palestinian civilians would concern fair minded Americans who have not studied the history and motivations of the warring parties.  Here, my synagogue's rabbi, +Analia Bortz , M.D., takes the Atlanta newspaper's editorial cartoonist to task for a recent drawing ( which suggests that Israel's vision of a two state solution would make the Palestinian state a jail.  Rabbi Bortz responds eloquently to this misrepresentation.
As a citizen of this glorious country, a member of the Atlanta community, and a proud Jew, my heart ached when I saw the cartoons that your prestigious newspaper (what I consider The Voice of Georgia) published on July 15 and July 22. These cartoons were created by Mr. Mike Luckovich.

Hopefully I won't need to submit a #resume anytime soon, but this brief article about what works for Google job seekers reveals a very useful tip for any type of employment.
Recruiters don't look at your resume for more than a few precious seconds, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't still carefully craft your resume to make sure you've got the best chances of landing a job. Here's a simple formula from Google's HR chief that'll help you put the best information on your resume.

Interesting take on the inherent problems lawyers have with social media.  What say you +Neil Ferree?   #lawyermarketing

+Sam Glover makes a valid point, albeit I'm not so sure I'd articulate the same way?

Simply posting your picture w/ call me and phone # with no intro or framing of the post won't fare well with most people on Plus?

Your post speaks to a speciffic  SSI issue I suspect many of your future clients are asking, so this approach is much better than merely a pic and a phone number.

Social Security disability, personal bankruptcy, law blogger
I am an attorney and writer in Atlanta, GA.  For the past 20+ years I have practiced bankruptcy law in the metro Atlanta area, and for the past 15 or so years I have represented men and women seeking Social Security disability benefits.

I practice law with my wife, Jodi Brenner Ginsberg, who is a Georgia workers compensation lawyer.  We have two college aged children and a very perceptive Poodle named Joey.

When not working, I enjoy weight lifting and boxing training (heavy bags do not hit back!) and photography.

I have been working out with Dustin for just over 1 year. I had previously tried working out on my own or in larger group classes but had very limited results. My main goal was to strengthen my back and core so I could return to playing sports like basketball and tennis, which I had given up 3 years previously because of back pain. After about 6 months of training I felt strong enough to sign up for a basketball league and now I play at least 3 days per week. My back and core are significantly stronger , I have dropped several pounds, my blood lab test results are greatly improved and I am much stronger in my upper body. I am especially thrilled as I previously thought my sports career was over. Dustin's workouts are intense - these are not casual workouts and we are held accountable with weekly weigh-ins and body measurements. As Dustin says "we're training man, not working out!" Dustin & Emily regularly send out emails with recipes and sample exercises, there are periodic weekend excursions and regular email communication if you need extra motivation. It goes without saying that when you exercise hard regularly, you feel better, you are more productive at work and you sleep better. This is the best I have felt in years.

Jeff and I are long time colleagues as consumer bankruptcy lawyers and I have learned a great deal from his articles and videos. Jeff is a prolific writer who is able to boil down sometimes complex bankruptcy matters into straightforward, easy to understand language. His Iowa bankruptcy website is a well written, comprehensive resource for bankruptcy filers and attorneys, and I have it bookmarked as a "go to" resource. Jeff is also generous with his time and we regularly discuss Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 issues by email exchange. I have no hesitation in recommending Jeff Mathias to anyone seeking bankruptcy advice in Des Moines and surrounding cities.

I have been eating at Pero's since it was called GiGi's and located on Piedmont Rd. The pizza is the best New York style pizza inside the perimeter and the dishes such as eggplant parm are also top notch. While the dinner menu can be a little pricy for a family style Italian restaurant the lunch buffet is a great deal. If you are looking for very tasty casual Italian, this would be a very good choice.
