Plagiarism, like any other field of research, has certain taboos. One of them deals with cryptomnesia, a memory mistake that causes some creators to think something they remember is actually an original thought. http://www.plagiarismtoday.com/2014/04/17/plagiarism-taboos-cryptomnesia/
With plagiarism there are many taboo topics, but one of the strangest is cryptomnesia, the idea that some plagiarists just forgot who the source was.
