I created a new web based audio player that allows you to time stretch, pitch shift and loop audio files. I find it very useful for practicing guitar.

It's using a custom javascript phase vocoder running in web workers to do the timestretching. The UI is pure CSS (except for the logo). I hope you find it useful! I certainly had a blast creating it.

I created a new tool for digital image forensics. It includes an awesome clone detector, error level. With these tools you can discover details and manipulations that are hidden in digital images. It's of course all #javascript :)
Forensically is a set of free tools for digital image forensics. It includes clone detection, error level analysis, meta data extraction and more.

I created an analog film emulation app in javascript. Played around with a lot of new tech in the process. I hope you like the result! :)

Used my smartcrop.js library to automatically select regions of interest to create slide show transitions (ken burns effect) from a bunch of photos. Works relatively well. :)
smartcrop.js slideshow. smartcrop.js is a content aware image cropping library. On this page you can see how it can be used to automatically pick crops to create a Ken Burns effect on images. You can learn more about smartcrop.js on it's github page. loading, this can take a little while.

It's the first release of my smart image cropping library. Say no to decapitation, choose smartcrop.js ;)

Something personal for once, spent a nice week paragliding in Tenerife. Created a short video of one of the flights. :)

It's a gyro, probably a missile guidance system. Probably from a torpedo. ;)

I added a new tool to forensically. I call it noise analysis, it does pretty much what the name would lead you to expect. It can totally detect nosejobs! :)

I added a little feature to my #javascript film emulator - A procedural simulation of light leaks using simplex noise.

It's a glorified version of something I remember as rather annoying. :)

+Liam Quin I like the idea, personally. It would mean that presets could be managed using bookmarks notes etc. And it's simple to do. The main problem I see is that people don't get it. I've seen that in user tests in the past.

In general they just don't see what's going on and then share the more stateful URLs by accident which might even confuse the next person.

I might just add a share setting url or something like that so it is explicit.

I did a little experiment today. I added full-text search to my website using lunr.js. Lunr is a simple full-text search engine that can run inside of a web browser using Javascript. It works surprisingly well. :)

+Joshua Tenner It's interesting that the photographer made a similar crop (if it's not just the default): http://500px.com/search?q=Mile+Run+Race

Experimenting with content aware image cropping using javascript. It's working quite well already.

Hey that would look good for a Ken Burns effect, progressively zooming in the area of highest energy!
