Kiri's not the only one calling for positive action based on the Hunger Games.
The HP Alliance have started a campaign called We Are The Districts: http://wearethedistricts.tumblr.com/
Do not be fooled by the tumbling location, they are serious and I support them!

Oh, and while you're at it, take a look at http://oddsinourfavor.org/ also by The HP Alliance.
May the odds be in everyone's favor.

+Martijn van de Streek Here they're closely related to christmas and traditionally used to fill "Kræmmerhuse" (http://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kr%C3%A6mmerhus) hanging on the christmas tree. There's even an old christmas song referencing "eating the tree" as in eating the peppernuts on the tree;
"First the tree must be shown,
Then the tree must be eaten."
It sounds a bit more gruesome in english :P

Resubscribed. Or rather, subscribed to the new Alex Day! I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with, and I'm probably not gonna miss that rose. (And neither am I gonna make a #drwho reference here. nope.)

I unsubscribed. But I also added the RSS feed found here: www.youtube.com/rss/user/nerimon
RSS is probably more reliable than the youtube subscription system, and I wont be counted among the million people helping Alex achieve a dream of his!

Introduction
There's a lot of sociality outside the web, but there's no web outside society.

I, the human being behind this profile, like sharing in many aspects. Cake, art, experiences, music. Life is supposed to be shared with the individuals around us. In the "old days" that meant the family and the local society. Today geography is a field of study, not a boundary.

I belive myself to be a citizen in a global world, and I try to push and move towards what I believe is a better global world for all of us. Some may call me a socialist, some may even say communist, but I believe in a right to have a good life.

But rights aren't something we have. It's something we are either given or taking. Taking usually means somebody getting less of whatever is taken. Giving is sharing.
When I give food away, I'm sharing it.
When I give thoughts away, I'm sharing them.
When I give love, I'm sharing it.
When I give rights, I'm sharing them.

But enough of the idealistic babble.
I'm a fan of heavy rock and sweet metal, and will primarily be sharing that here, along with nerdy computer sciency stuff (which I'm studying) and random remarks and quotes.

Feel free to comment or send something my way. Chances are you lose nothing and be both gain something ;)
