My mom's neighbor got a letter disparaging the fact that he flies his American flag every day. I never knew that was offensive to some people. I wonder why...
When Dean Morris received a letter in the mail this week attacking him for flying an American flag outside his house every day, he couldn't believe somebody could be so enraged by the nation's symbol.

Good explanation of "Favorite" Tweets.

When someone "Favorites" your Tweet it mean... uhm, uhm, what exactly?
What’s in a Twitter fave? It’s a gesture – just the click of a button – that can mean any number of things given the context. We’ve developed an entire ecosystem of Twitter faves over the past few years. There’s the hate-fave. The flirt-fave. The fist-bump fave. Now, researchers have gone one step further and […]

Good stuff here for bloggers!

The key challenge in content marketing is getting new ideas in order to keep producing interesting content that differentiates you from everyone else and that drives views and shares. It is not easy and a lot of us struggle with it.

I read a lot and take notes in order not to get stuck. What's your favorite method?

To help you out here are some ideas on how you can get inspired: http://howtomakemyblog.com/find-ideas/

The biggest story from the #Olympics was the anchor's weeklong conjunctivitis-induced absence. The entire broadcast seemed as old and tired as Bob Costas. It's time for NBC to bring in a new team.

Can't imagine having spent $100 million to sponsor the #Sochi Games!

The #1 reason social media marketing doesn't work isn't because you're doing it wrong, it's because you aren't doing it at all!

So true. Creating the content is one piece of the #contentmarketing puzzle

It seems like marketers are optimizing for the personal case study by producing one-off pieces of content that aren’t part of a holistic inbound strategy. So we see presentations filled with examples of cool creative, but no substantive business metrics because they are disconnected from marketing itself.

They’re long on content, short on marketing.

Great article.

A marketing system goes beyond the marketing plan to give small businesses the foundational tools, strategies and tactics they need to activate their plan, along with processes to grow and sustain marketing momentum.
