Sad day

the sad day part is the fact they had everything beautifully getting interfaced and interconnected, then they realized the EU feared that idea, so they decided to split all their services up into separate segmented services. The old photos system was amazing the new one, has only a quarter of the features and while you can still share the images on Google Plus it's not as fluid.  While many people didn't choose to try Google Plus because of the whole "i dont want another facebook" thought process, they're essentially dismantling Google Plus, which for many was a fantastic social network. It encouraged actually intelligent conversation and people would debate on real issues but treat each-other with full respect the whole time. I never see that kind of thing on facebook or twitter, it always resorts to flaming.

anyways I hope they continue to intertwine their services because they're better together.

GW2 Roulette website is now in open Alpha. Let me know what you guys think of it.

I'm considering locking the site down with a password, that you have to subscribe to the email list to get the password. "

The email newsletter will go out when significant changes are made to the site.

I will add a feedback form to the site when I get a chance, also Razak, I still plan to rearrange the content like we talked about, Just didn't get around to it in the latest changes.

I've been building that GW 2 Roulette site I brought up. Here is a link to the alpha version of the site. Please give any feedback you have. I'd like to make this site a success. Anything, even if it's "I hate the name GW2 Roulette".

Note there aren't many challenges in the system just yet but I'll be adding more over time.

I still have a ways to go before I launch it publicly but I estimate I could have the site launch ready within a couple weeks(even faster if I didn't have a job).

Thank you guys. Best Guild in all of GW2, can't wait to prove it in Guild Hall Battles.

+Brian Bandy  good feedback about the mobile menu, I agree with that, and also Brian I completely agree about it needing an animation for when you click spin. unfortunately there's a bug in the animation script preventing it from happening onclick. I will definitely try to find something that works though. Because if you get the same Challenge twice in a row, it looks like it didn't work at all.

I'm thinking about creating a GW2 website based on an idea that originated on Reddit

the site would be named along the lines of "Guild Wars Roulette"

The point of the site is that it would randomly pick a challenge you have to do while playing GW2 for 1 hour

That Challenge would be something fun/goofy you have to do while playing the game just to spice things up a bit.
Some Examples:
* Oregon Trail Mode: No using Waypoints, you must walk to your destination.
* Generosity Itself: For every item you make, be it food or gear, you have to make 2 and give one to a random stranger.

My site would randomly pick one or 2 of these challenges for you.
Visitors to the site would be able to suggest challenges

Future updates to the site would be:
*profession specific Roullette, allowing for more unique challenges. "Necro Goody Two Shoes - you must die your gear to white or the lightest gray you have, and change your traits to be healing focused, because y'know Irony is funny."

*system for players to submit videos and photos of them doing the challenges.

*an automatic timer which would display how long you have to do the challenge for.

The site would have a clever Donation based system to keep it afloat.

A donation bar would display on the site. Showing current funding for paying for the hosting the site.

ads will display on the site until collectively enough money is raised for the site to pay for hosting. Once Hosting is paid for the ads will disappear and the bar will be for paying for updates to the site - I.E. Funding my pop and GW2 Gem Fund for while I work on that update.
If I do not reach the goal for paying for the hosting for 3 months in a row, the site will be taken down.

The site would be mobile friendly so if you dont want to have GW2 windowed or have the site open in the background, you could pull it up on your phone or tablet.

I'd like to know what everyone thinks. Do you like this Idea and should I build it?

I'm in the process of actually building the website. The design is almost there. Soon i will be focusing on content. I think if I get it to a good point I'll show you guys what I have on my dev box. Then maybe before I launch the site I'm considering giving woodenpotatoes early access(along with you guys). Hopefully the site will kick off.

again sorry to keep posting here and filling the Guild Google Plus page up, I just want to keep you guys in the loop.

I'm in the process of thinking through the UI for the lottery system I've brought up to a lot of you. My Guild Wars 2 Roulette website, is only part of my ideas one of my ideas is a web based version of a commandline program I made years ago. I want to make a system for doing a Guild/public lottery in Guild Wars 2.

The mockup of the UI https://cacoo.com/diagrams/jr0HNhX1hl1GXxrM(may need to zoom in, focus on the actual lottery section, the rest of the page is mostly just going to match the visual look of the rest of the GW2 Roulette site.

Look it over, let me know what you think. Obviously you will not see all 3 tabs at once like this, you're supposed to advance from left to right. let me know things like, based on this layout if you feel you would be able to run the lottery without having to ask questions.(Also note the numbers are all placeholders the real app will do actual calculations.)

Basically I want to offer some advanced functionality, but make it so stupid easy to use, that the instructions section below it is completely pointless.

Also not to get hopes up, the validation link will not be in the initial build of it most likely, the basic idea of it though would be that it would display the lottery settings so people would know it was a legit lotto being run, not just some jerk stealing money.(also great way to promote the site to new people)

Ah ha, fair enough. I think some controls for how to set up the reward tiers would be good, depending on how you choose to design it.

My guild has run dungeons doing the start naked and only use what you pick up, as well as no shirt no shoes no service runs where no boots or shirt for the whole run.  I find it doesn't really make the run any harder.  Also we never run speed clears, it is wipe everything you come across, you can avoid stuff but aggro it and we have to kill it.

Great food. If you don't leave full then odds are you are saving left over's. There's always a large line but I'm willing to wait for good food

Only bad thing I can say is the chips taste consistently like they've sat out for a week. Other than that. All of the other food is great. Service is great

The service is amazing. I've had fees and they just erased them and gave me my money back. I've got nothing bad I can say about postal cu

The workers all have that I hate my job get out of here vibe. I've had numerous orders completely screwed up. I've been criticized for what I ordered before. At night they is a hit or miss if they even accept cards. Unfortunately I go there if I don't have time to drive to the cliff road one. Never had worse service than at this McDonald's.
