I feel much safer on the web now because of the Ghostery chrome extension.

This privacy (and ads, if you want) blocker is a very smart tweak to the general third-party blocking concept. And this one is very well implemented too! Lots of easy-to-use options to customize it to work just the way you want.

Honestly, one of the best extensions I've seen in awhile. A lot of extensions are useful but cludgy or missing that little extra polish. This one has it all.

Kudos to the +Ghostery team!

I love my Nexus 7. Continued OTA updates (all the way up to 5.0 already), easy to root, no bloatware, easy to root after updates, easy to connect with ADB.

A fun interview with an SR-71 pilot. The Blackbird was always my favorite plane.
Spencer Hall interviews former SR-71 Blackbird pilot Rick McCrary about what it's like to fly the world's fastest plane. Spoiler: It's terrifying.

We switched from BitBucket to GitHub. (We didn't have any specific problems with BitBucket, but new product owners use GitHub.) But GitHub has a 100MB file limit that BitBucket doesn't. Which is fine; we shouldn't have had files that big in source anyway. But our commit history had a few database copies in there from bad developers in the project's past.

Big thanks go to https://twitter.com/rtyley for making a much easier method to clean those bad files out of the repo history. Saved me a lot of time!

Hey, thanks, it's always great to get feedback and I appreciate you sharing your BFG success story- the more Git users that know The BFG exists, the better chance it can save them time when they need to remove old unwanted data from Git history...! :)

I just saw one of our Android apps in an Intel commercial today on TV. That was pretty cool.

Today's rant: Remember when we thought the days of animated construction GIFs, star field backgrounds, and background MIDI music were a thing of the past? Once upon a time we put up with terrible user experiences, but then we learned what was important and fixed all those problems.

But now they're back. They may not look the same, but they are the same user experience problems. In today's world, these issues can't be blamed on ignorance like we once could. Today, the blame rests with rushed features that aren't tested or balanced (game play imbalances like mechanics to encourage bots, pay to win, no player controls to self moderate) to Flash players that run at full volume with no volume controls because paying $15 for a good AV player is too much. Welcome to the enlightened world of ineptness, laziness and making feature lists more important then making a good product.
