Why waste your whole days waiting in line for Hall H? There are plenty of other hidden gems in the schedule.  Like My "Creator Connection All Stars" Panel Thursday 1:30!

#SDCC2015: The Hidden Gems of the San Diego @Comic_Con Schedule

On Sunday 28th June 2015, we held our weekly Talkin’ Comic-Con: A Cup O’ Tea with… Google+ Hangout, in which myself (+Leonard Sultana), +Alyssa Franks (Friends Of CCI Forum), +Kimberly Walton (+The Nerd Element) and John Bieniek (+N3rd Link) tore apart the schedules for this years San Diego +Comic-Con International.

One thing you can’t say about this years listings is, you’re not stuck for things to see – it really is an embarrassment of riches this year, even with a number of notable studio absences. And anther thing that stands out: there are plenty of smaller panels to draw your attention if you want to step away from the flashy headliners of the Con. As we looked down the list, we also found one or two Hidden Gems which you might have missed and think you might find interesting – check this little lot out…

So many possibilities to look forward to even though Marvel Studios is sitting this Comic-Con out.

'Comic-Con 2015: 10 Movie Announcements That Would Make It The Best Ever'

article by +Josh Wilding for +WhatCulture!:
http://whatculture.com/film/comic-con-2015-10-movie-announcements-that-would-make-it-the-best-ever.php

"Football fans have the World Cup, wrestling fans have WrestleMania, and comic book fans have Comic-Con. Each year, the annual event in San Diego brings with it a plethora of huge movie announcements, with fans left to decide what was the biggest and best. As 2015’s draws near, who between Marvel and DC will be crowned the victors by fanboys?

Studios are left scrambling to top the previous year’s announcements, and on the off chance they decide to avoid Hall H (as Sony did last year), they’re met with criticism and accusations of being scared of the competition. Ironically, Marvel are apparently deciding to sit this year’s Comic-Con out. Most believe they no longer need to go, as their own “Marvel Event” last Autumn generated just as much – if not more – buzz among their fans.

However, there’s no way they’ll let their Distinguished Competition overshadow them, so Marvel will no doubt still have a few surprises up their sleeve even if that doesn’t include a panel. It’s not all about these two though; Fox will also have a presence, as will studios who don’t own any comic book franchises, but do have their own releases to promote.

Here, you will find just ten major movie announcements which would make this year’s Comic-Con arguably the best ever. From some surprising additions to Marvel’s Phase 4 slate to Warner Bros.’ big plans for their DC Comics properties, not to mention the future of franchises like Jurassic World, Star Wars, and Transformers, there’s a lot to get excited over..."

Special Thanks to +Roy Hembree for the Support!

Last year I met a guy in the queue for Hall H who had just self-published his first comic book. His comic was for sale at the convention and he was even on a panel discussing indie publishing. Today his comic went on sale on Comixology. It's only one issue and all the money he makes he's going to use to produce issue #2.

First, I'm excited to see his comic book for sale and I've bought my copy (I'll read it on my lunch today). But secondly, I had no idea that it was so challenging to launch a single issue as an indie publisher. Good on +Johnny C for persevering and hustling. I don't recall him saying that he wanted to be a comic creator per se, but more that he wanted to be a storyteller and creating a comic seemed easier than making a movie. Either way, determination for the win!
Raise your guns for Death is near and... Sartana is soon to follow. The legend of Spaghetti Western outlaw Sartana begins here, as a young gunslinger by the name of Johnny Liston is hired to transport a famed criminal by the name of Lasky to a penitentiary. The mission goes awry and Johnny is left to pull himself together. Meanwhile Lasky has an opportunity to befall upon him that graduates him from a petty criminal to an infamous villain.

Very Clever! Keep your eyes peeled.  You never know when you might run into Deadpool.  Last Year I almost literally ran into the man himself Rob Liefeld exiting Hall H after the Marvel Panel.

For those of you with eagle eyes...
If you've attended the San Diego Comic Con these last few years, you may have been on the hunt for celebrities dressed in costume trying to inconspicuously walk the convention floor.  If you're att...

I worked with both Alex from the Internet Department and Rod when I came to do a test drive. Alex was terrific in answering all of my inquiries. I had a VERY specific model in mind and was getting jerked around elsewhere on the price. Alex, gave me a rock bottom, no nonsense price and THAT got us in the door of a Ford Dealership that WASN'T our regular Ford Dealership my family had been going through for decades. Then when we came in to test drive, Rod was real accommodating, and worked to get us processed as quickly as possible once we struck the deal and signed the paperwork. I was in on Saturday afternoon and was driving home my new vehicle by Monday night. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the whole process. Don't let their small lot fool you. There is a HUGE selection here.
