Porto, Portugal

Drinking a cold beer - Watching the night grow dark, and watching the city come alive with light is one of my favourite things. Just sitting and staring and seeing the change in mood and light is such a wonderful experience.

I love catching the light right after a storm - especially when there are vibrant colours and mountains around. Storm lighting is interesting and can give such a beautiful glow. This was taken just around 2pm - on a normal bright day, this time would not give the beautiful lighting what we have here. Mix in some scattered heavy clouds and if you wait long enough, landscape magic happens!

Tarn Hows, Lake District, Cumbria, England

Technical: Nikon D810 | Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 @ f/11 1/15sec 70mm ISO 64
| Manfrotto tripod and ball head

This is Búðakirkja Church in West Iceland.
First built in 1703 by Bent Lárusson, who was a merchant in Búðir. It rotted down but was rebuilt by Steinunn Sveinsdóttir in 1848. In 1984, the church was moved in one piece from the old graveyard onto its current foundations. The church was renovated to the form it was thought to have had in 1848, and was re-consecrated in 1987.

Technical Details:
Nikon D810
Nikon 16-35mm f/4
539sec at f/5 ISO 64 16mm
Formatt-Hitech 16 stop firecrest filter
