New home on wheels...
For those that remember me; Yes, I'm still alive and yes I've been gone a long time. Too long. Been busy with family, work (yuk) and travel. Earlier this summer decided to upgrade to a much bigger 5th wheel and guess I now sit in the luxury class of RV camping. I did my time tenting and sleeping under the stars. I've taken a few thousand photo's but have developed very few and probably won't get the time until this winter. So for now I've uploaded a few cell phone pics of my second home on wheels. This is a 36 ft, 3 slide-outs, all the bells & whistles complete with washer/dryer, fireplace, AC/heat pump, solar panels, 60 gal water tank, etc., 13,000 lb full time living RV. I'm approximately 21,000 lbs gross weight rolling diesel freight train just under 60' in total length.

Great shot! I love e-coli err I mean Ecola State park. The access road is almost hidden in Cannon Beach, but it's worth seeking out.
The Oregon Coast can be tricky to shoot. Morning sun tends to be hard to find, with low clouds and fog being common. Even sun can be gorgeous, but for seascapes, you often find you're shooting into the sun. Ecola provides a peninsula that projects out past Cannon Beach, allowing you to make use of the light.

It is nice to shoot across the horizon, without distracting houses, trees and power lines. Beautiful picture.

Titus Canyon, Death Valley
Titus Canyon has it all - rugged mountains, colorful rock formations, a ghost town, petroglyphs, wildlife, rare plants and spectacular canyon narrows as a grand finale! This was a challenging road due to the extra long wheelbase of my truck. I was quite thankful this is 27 mile one-way road.

Pacific Northwest landscape photographer Oregon
Introduction
I'm an aspiring landscape photographer from the Pacific Northwest specializing mostly in Oregon. I’m here to gain insight, inspiration and whatever useful photographic knowledge someone may share to learn and implement in my workflow along with great photogenic places to explore and shoot.

I'm an outdoors type who enjoys hiking, RV camping, exploring waterfalls, creeks, mountains and desert landscapes, lakes and the like although much of my time is spent behind a computer screen. I hope to change that for 2012 and devote more time for photography and honing my comp and post-processing skills. That hasn't exactly happened according to plan due to other life challenges but I've made some good progress.
