It's never too early to plan trips for late spring/early summer. The Rogue-Umpqua Divide Wilderness has a lot to offer and very few people

Beautiful morning at Breitenbush Lake. If you're looking for a base camp to hike a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail or the Olallie Lakes Scenic Area this is a wonderful location.

There are many other great trails nearby, so this could be just one portion of a day of hiking in the area.

This Saturday should be beautiful!

Interesting read
Science shows that bark beetles don't increase the threat of wildfire, but they do play a crucial role in supporting healthy forests... and so do the trees the beetles kill.

I've been here too many times to count. There is always a margarita special for 4.25 and a couple of beer specials for under 4.00. My favorite thing to order is the carne asada burrito. They marinade the steak so it's always juicy and full of flavor. Other favorites are the Marco blanco burrito and anything with mole on it. The service is always great especially from Andres and Blanca. It's hands down the best Mexican spot in Lebanon. The bar is a good place to watch some soccer, especially if the Mexican national team is playing.

I was dropping a friend off to start his hike of the Pacific Crest Trail and wanted to find a place close to Campo to stay the night before. This placed turned out to be oustanding. The bar/restaurant has damn good food and strong drinks. The outdoor pool was fairly chilly because the hot springs water is only in the mid 90's. But the indoor hot tub, that's fed by the same water was nice and warm. One of the girls working even brought drinks out to the hot tub area. I'd you're looking for a place to relax for the weekend or start a thru-hike definitely check it out.

During a long road trip back from southern California I stopped here for lunch. The service was great, the locals gossiping was entertaining, and the breakfast burrito was oustanding. If you're checking out the Lava Beds National Monument or just driving through definitely spend some money here.

I've been here countless times and picked up everything from chicken feed, to chainsaws, clothes, and guns. They're staff is always helpful and the prices are competitive with similar stores.
