For my fellow "Overwhelmed" friends, a great read toward a roadmap to peace.

Blog post part 3 of 4: Organizing our Social World from Daniel Levitin's book "The Organized Mind: Thinking Straight in the Age of Information Overload." Up next in my final post (and the most fascinating to me) we'll look at organizing our TIME. This includes everything from sleep, procrastination, distractions, multitasking, language learning, creativity and flow, calendaring, and aging. Whew! For now...our social world...
This post will highlight the "Organizing our Social world" section of Daniel Levitin's Book The Organized Mind: Thinking Straight in the Age of Information Overload. My first post was a recap of some fascinating brain research, my second post was on using what we know about the brain to organize ...

Kelly's latest project. An old section of a fountain found at a yard sale. It wasn't part of the sale...but everything has a price. :)

Some days are best enjoyed by staying inside, curled up with a good book.  Or just curled up.

Trash to Treasure: Headboard
Kelly and I went to Lucketts Holiday Open House last weekend.

LINK: http://luckettstore.com/events/

While rather disappointed in abundance of 'retail' type treasures in the Lucketts Store proper, the 70 or so artisans outside provided plenty finds.  Among them, a large headboard that now sits in our living room...with 'framed' items to be rotated out with the seasons and holidays.
To keep from riddling our wall with nail holes, Kelly took hardware cloth, wrapped it in burlap, and the frames will now just hang on the hardware instead of being attached to the wall.
