Good news? I'm sorry - but this, in itself, isn't good news at all. Between you and me, my personal opinion is, Google has a solid case, and Oracle is just playing the patent troll.

Everything rests on the judgement of twelve people, who may or may not have all the facts, and who may or may not understand that they can ignore those ridiculous "instructions to the jury", and ask further questions. Precious few people realize that almost all "iinstructions to the jury" are inappropriate and illegal.

In effect, the jury's hands are tied in most cases. A jury must actively rebel against such instructions, if they are to have all the facts in a case.
