An anonymous complaint against UIW President Louis Agnese accuses him of making offensive remarks to physical therapy students at a luncheon last week, days before he was forced to take 90-day medical leave.
Incarnate Word spokeswoman Debra Del Toro declined to answer questions about the complaint, saying, "We're not commenting on the situation."

University President Louis Agnese is not happy with Incarnate Word's announcement that he is taking medical leave for "sporadic uncharacteristic behavior."

"They ruined my reputation of 31 years," Agnese said. "They will send out a retraction by Monday or I will sue the chair of the board. You can put that in the paper in quotes."
Louis Agnese Jr., who has served as president of the University of the Incarnate Word for 30 years, has been placed on a 90-day medical leave due to “sporadic uncharacteristic behavior and comments,” according to a statement from board chairman Charles Lutz issued Thursday. “His interactions with some students and faculty and administrative staff during (the past two weeks) have provoked considerable concern for his well-being,” Lutz said in the...

UTSA, for example, has a completion rate of only 29.17 percent after six years.
And at a time when students across the nation are grappling with historic levels of debt, the report finds that they are having a harder time finding jobs that will pay them enough to dig themselves out of the hole. At the average Texas university, one-third of students earn less than $25,000 a year six years after they enroll.

This is a pretty handy Chrome app. You have to double check to make sure it gets the date and time right. But most of the time it's accurate. Even when it's not, it's a quick way to get to the Google calendar event page and you can edit from there.

Interesting fact-check. Video doesn't always tell the whole story.

Trump is right: He didn’t kick a baby out of a campaign rally
Glenn Kessler, The Washington Post, writes that the mother was already on the way out when Trump made the comment on kicking her out. The mother, Devan Ebert of Virginia, was and continues to be a staunch Trump supporter and has written in his defense. She later returned to the same seat at the rally, with her now-quiet baby.

The Toronto Star's Daniel Dale says he was there, saw the whole thing, and corroborates the mother's story.

Dale says he chooses not to get press credentials for rallies, preferring to sit with the people for what he might see and hear. Which is what journalists at political rallies should do routinely.

The media ran with a story that was misleading and false. Trump earns a Geppetto Checkmark!

Asus ZenWatch / 2/ ?  -

The battery life on my beloved Asus Zenwatch 2 has suddenly nosedived.

I used to be able to wear it all day and night, wake up in the morning with about 30-40 percent left, and charge it while I get ready for work. Suddenly it doesn't last through the work day, even after I changed watch faces and turned off the "always on" screen.

Has there been some bizarre update that might be causing this? Any ideas on how to fix it? The watch is only about six months old.
