Taschek joined PC Week in 1994 after spending two years as a technical editor for the consumer-focused PC/Computing magazine.
While at Ziff Davis, Taschek wrote or co-authored several books, including one on Windows NT for Ziff Davis Press, and contributed to Que’s books on the Internet and World Wide Web.
Taschek also contributed to PriceWaterhouseCooper’s annual technology review.
Prior to Ziff Davis, Taschek worked on the office automation project for the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This was under contract with Advanced Technology Systems. There he worked along with the technology group under contract with Martin Marietta (Lockheed Martin.
