That was pretty inspirational! But I think you might have chosen a better example then the students challenged to get in touch with any of three famous people. You see, 6 may have succeeded, but out of how many that tried? The class likely has a size of about 100 or so (depending on the university and the actual class) and it's likely that most of them tried. It is 100% in the student's control as to whether or not they make one or more attempts to get in touch with their target, however, at that point it is 100% OUT of their control as to whether or not their target ends up seeing their attempt, and if they do, replying back.
So that maybe wasn't the best example really. Not a terrible one, a decent one in fact, but just probably not the best.
