This is just part of my new book coming soon, called Daisy.

The Two of Us!

It is hard to say goodbye to anyone. To say goodbye to your best friend of 8.5 years, makes it harder. Especially when that best friend became your Service Dog. She would look out for me and my bad eyes. She even took care of my failing limbs. Yes, I fall. I fall a lot.

However, there is an old Irish tradition to celebrate the time you had together. I am going to try to do so here, but there are tears in my eyes as I do so.
I have not been told by the powers to be what her status is. Oh, I have gotten kind words from the Social Media to console me through my loss. However, there has been no official notification as of yet.

The time Daisy and I had together was a gift from GOD. She was GOD’s dog. I just had the privilege of sharing that short time. I was given the gift of that time together. There was a time that I took care of her. As age, has it, she took care of me. We were partners in life and in the journeys we took. Many books were written about those journeys. 6 published ones to be exact. There is talk about making our first book into a movie. It is called “Spirit of Macon.” I just hope everyone can find that kind of partnership in their life.

Some terrible things were said about how she was treated during our time together. Well those words are wrong and unjust. If you look at the Terms and Conditions of this Social Media site, slander is not grounds for character assassination. You can’t yell fire in a crowded theater and call it free speech.

How do I know this, well there was love! Unconditional love. The kind of love that everyone should experience. I was once told that Daisy had to go, because she would hinder my relationship with GOD. That statement was wrong. She actually made my relationship with GOD stronger.

It will be close to a year now, that we have been apart. I am going to say that my life has been full of ups and downs during this period. I live alone now in a room in Milwaukee, WI. However, it is his life, not mine. I am going to say that my time with her was unprecedented. I will always cherish the time we had together.
There is a scene in a movie called “Cast Away” with Tom Hanks. He has been rescued, but everyone has assumed he was dead. Even his wife. Who has remarried. He has to get along with his new life and the loss of a loved one. I know what he was trying to portray.

I am living it. Maybe this is my exodus from Egypt, as a Preacher in Macon once said.

I have no clue what the future holds for me, but it was my honor knowing Daisy. She made it possible for me to get through years of uncertainty. Daisy and I were victims in this situation founded on greed and lies. Please, don’t let this happen in your life.

I hope that she is fine and is being taken care of.

She made my life better.

This is how you teach a Doctor who tried to put you in a walker, because of your bad knees.
