An ancient underground city in Turkey. Derinkuyu. How can you not put this in a game?

My daughter Elaina (8) drew her first map today, unprompted. I just found this on the table after she'd gone to bed.

A great discussion on Service Locator as an anti-pattern, with Mark Seemann, who wrote an excellent book on Dependency Injection:

Road and railway tape. This looks like it has great potential for use in face to face tactical games in a modern setting.

I seem to be beset with noteworthy quotes today...
"Simplicity and elegance are unpopular because they require hard work and discipline to achieve and education to be appreciated."
 — Edsger W. Dijkstra

Just ran across this great quote.
"The greatest challenge to any thinker is stating the problem in a way that will allow a solution." -- Bertrand Russell

EpicTable 1.3 is available for download. This is a free upgrade for all licensed EpicTable users, and it’s completely backwards compatible with 1.2. The focus of this release is enhanced map and tabletop tab functionality: reordering tabs, dragging tabs to separate displays, and having both player and GM views of a map open at once, on separate displays. If you're a face-to-face gamer using EpicTable, this is your release, but there are some refinements in there that benefit everyone.

If you're at Gen Con, come visit EpicTable at booth 626. We're demoing version 1.3.
