When it comes to parenting the best lessons are the ones learned the hard way.

I had a particularly rough week as a dad last week. Can anyone out there relate?

Indeed. From the states living in Finland. Home for the holidays with my wife and 3 month old boy. Get back to Finland and his interior clock is off. He now is up each night from 12-5:30 in the morning. It's been a long week!

I feel like I just watched the entire movie. Why do trailers these days have to give the whole movie away?

I'm stoked that high powered executives are starting to focus on the importance of their families. I just hope the next step is focusing on work/family balance for those of us who aren't able to quit our jobs.

Hey Ya! Guest Comic by Raised by my Daughter
www.askyourdadblog.com

My buddy Neal over at Raised by my daughter took one of my favorite Duchess moments ever and immortalized it in comic form.

We absolutely love our daycare. My wife and I were so stressed about sending our first child to daycare, but our work schedules made it a necessity. Donna and her staff have not only become our friends, they feel like a part of our family. We get regular updates on how our kids are doing, and I feel like I can communicate any and all concerns I have and they will be immediately addresses. We honestly couldn't have picked a better daycare. We love Precious People.

We've stayed at the Peery a few times when my wife and I were spending a date night down town. They are definetely small rooms, but they are well kept and have personality. If you're planning on spending a lot of time in your room or having guests, I'd suggest the Little America Tower. That said, the staff is super friendly and the location is awesome! Easy walking distance to multiple restaurants and venues. The Peery is great for going out on the town and then coming back to your hotel and going to bed (the beds are all super comfy tempurpedics).
