Been a little absent on here but figure I should get my head out of my ass and start posting.

Here's a recent shoot with Alison Oswell.

Hoping to finally pull my Google Glass out of the box this week too. That should stimulate some new posts.

Anyone with #GoogleGlass have suggestions or tips for my first week using them?

My #PlusOneCollectionIII submission 1 of 3

I'm hoping that I'm able to get these images to go through on the submission website. Right now it's not working and I can't upload anything. Anyone else having trouble with this?

Australia/New Zealand Photowalk

Anyone in Sydney (December 20-24) or Queenstown (December 26-December 30) interested in organizing a #Photowalk?

I'm hoping to explore these areas (never been to either) with some photographers. Looking for a little local perspective and to meet some new photogs on the other side of the world.

Anyone interested?

Um yes please. I've been saving for one of these, but it always seems out of reach. If I had this, I would use it to shoot some unusual BTS footage of some photoshoots and "attempt" to create some awesome landscape videos. So many possibilities with that thing!

Graphene Used to Make Camera Sensors 1000x More Sensitive

Technology Rocks!

No flash? No problem. A new imaging sensor could soon make it possible for photographers to take clear, sharp photos, even in dim lighting.

The title is incredibly poorly chosen. This is not about flash. This could mean a real singularity in the world of photography. Imagine shooting at 100,000 ISO with no noise, or shooting at 100 ISO 1/100 in the a dark room ! So far sensors have had a  sensitivity comparable with that of films, but this would open a whole new world. Flash would still be needed for customizing your scene's lightning, but stabilization technology would go right in the trash, while ND Filters would become a necessity if you still want to capture some motion blur.
When I'll tell my grandchildren that in my time compositing several shots was necessary to do HDR, they will not believe me ... Hope it will soon hit the shelves...

I've been going to Lydia at Viva Bella since moving to the area and can't say enough good things about her and the entire staff. In the past when selecting a salon in a new area I would get a great first haircut where the stylist paid attention to the details. After 2-3 times going I would find that it was a rush job and didn't really get me what I wanted (and I'm not even picky). For the first time, I can honestly say that the last haircut I had was as good as the first. As a guy, I realize that I'm not there primary clientele but they do a great job on men and women. I liked them so much I have even started using them to help out with hair for my portrait photography studio. They just do fantastic work. Regardless of the style or job, they are professional, talented and just plain fun to be around. I highly recommend them for men or women looking for an excellent experience that you can guarantee will be the same from the first cut or style to your most recent.
