I am 'struggling' with this new art installation in Sydney's Hyde park, about 150 metres from the Anzac Memorial (a war memorial).

This installation " ... honours the bravery and sacrifice of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women who have served their country".

I have no difficulty with honouring those who have served in the armed forces, though I might be critical of some of the campaigns.

But that is not my point ... my point is that it was these honourable peace-loving people who were shot by the first settlers, so I think that an art installation of bullets is most inappropriate.  I just cannot work out it out at all.

I spoke with a young tourist couple from Canada after taking these photos, and they couldn't work it out either.

What do you think?  Am I reading into this what I want to read, or has someone made a mistake?
