Cadillac Sunrise

My very first east coast sunrise! While it wasn't as stunning as the sunset I saw from up here it's certainly a stunning place to greet the new day!

Base note

That's one big lyre! I don't think I want to see the guy who plays it though! :-)

Actually this is the Bagley Pedestrian Bridge that crosses I-96 in Detroit Michigan.

Fred Flintstone's bowling ball

I found the most amazing beach I think I've ever seen yesterday! And it's another example of serendipity! I was unaware of this place before visiting Acadia National Park but saw a picture of the round boulders at the visitor's center. While exploring the cliffs I just happened to see this isolated small beach completely covered by the spherical stones! It's not the easiest place to access because you have to climb down a steep crevasse but man is it awesome!! I shot sunset and returned to shoot sunrise and this shot was one of the last photos I took. But I wanted to share it first just so you could see how perfectly shaped the stones really are! This guy is about 1 foot in diameter and weighs about 50 pounds!

Cowabunga dude!

Never thought I'd see this in the cold waters on the coast of Maine! This coast guardsman is a native of Florida and was just happy to find a sandy beach among the rocky cliffs so far from home!

Cadillac Sunset

I lucked out on my first visit to Acadia National Park! If I hadn't run into a nice couple at the visitor center I would not have know to go check out Cadillac Mountain. And when I got there it looked like the clouds were not going to let the sun shine through. But Mother Nature decided otherwise and put on a beautiful show! And now I get to share it with you!

Have a beautiful day my friends!!

Exploring America in my truck!
Introduction

I'm a guy who loves photography and adventure! In fact I've been taking and developing my photos for over 25 years!

After some upheaval in my life I've decided it's time to hit the road and see this great country I live in. I'm traveling across America and photographing as much of it's beauty I can manage to find. I hope I can meet you and we can go shooting together. Let's go!!

This place has a very cool vibe! It's a revamped industrial area with a serious urbex feel! The beer garden is just awesome. The food and drinks are great and the staff was friendly! Sadly at the time of my visit they're still working on the beer taps so no fresh beer for the garden.

This place is awesome! Beautifully maintained gardens and an astounding number of butterflies to watch and photograph. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everyday they release the newly hatched butterflies and the staff member gives information about each type as they are released! Don't forget your camera with a macro lens because there are beautiful tropical flowers too!!

Great and inexpensive! I don't need anything fancy just a clean comfortable room but this place went beyond those expectations! It was a big room with a fridge and microwave. The bed was big and comfy too!
