I found the most amazing beach I think I've ever seen yesterday! And it's another example of serendipity! I was unaware of this place before visiting Acadia National Park but saw a picture of the round boulders at the visitor's center. While exploring the cliffs I just happened to see this isolated small beach completely covered by the spherical stones! It's not the easiest place to access because you have to climb down a steep crevasse but man is it awesome!! I shot sunset and returned to shoot sunrise and this shot was one of the last photos I took. But I wanted to share it first just so you could see how perfectly shaped the stones really are! This guy is about 1 foot in diameter and weighs about 50 pounds!
Never thought I'd see this in the cold waters on the coast of Maine! This coast guardsman is a native of Florida and was just happy to find a sandy beach among the rocky cliffs so far from home!
I lucked out on my first visit to Acadia National Park! If I hadn't run into a nice couple at the visitor center I would not have know to go check out Cadillac Mountain. And when I got there it looked like the clouds were not going to let the sun shine through. But Mother Nature decided otherwise and put on a beautiful show! And now I get to share it with you!
Have a beautiful day my friends!!
