This is a 15 second comic I animated using Blender just to see how it would go. As my first attempt I'm pretty happy with it.

It's only 15 seconds because I did it with Instagram in mind. That put a bit of a strain on readability, but I'll probably do YouTube versions of these as well so I can make them longer and keep the words on the screen longer.

This comic is set in the universe of  my upcoming sci-fi novel Titans|Divinity.

The Titans are a peacekeeping force along the same line as DC's Green Lanterns, except much more brutal.

You can see more at the book site: www.titansdivinity.com.

Hey +Mitch Mitchell do you still use Empire Avenue? The article I just read makes the situation seem a bit dire over there.
It is painful to have to write about Empire Avenue like this

Well, he wrote in the group on Facebook that he's going to start blogging about it every day until someone gets back to him on that & some other issues he has. Not sure if you saw my post before my latest one but it seems like he might be turning into "that guy"...

I hope you guys aren't jaded like me, because if you are, the Marvel Comics Thor and Captain America news from last week just made you say "Ehhhhhhh".
So it turns out that Marvel is replacing Thor with a woman, and replacing Captain America with a Black man (the Falcon).

Guys, I was just interviewed by World of Black Heroes and it has made my week! :) Please check it out if you have a moment. Thanks!
Once upon a time, it was a beast to try to break into comics. Even if you got the nod, it didn't guarantee longevity or success. That was then; nowadays with the internet and self-publishing, there...

Here's a tutorial that I honestly hope people NEVER need. Variable data in Adobe Illustrator is error-prone and fraught with hidden danger. I myself did not survive my ordeal (I'm a ghost right now), but hopefully this post from beyond the grave can help someone avoid my mistakes...
If you've ever had to use Adobe Illustrator to set up multiple variations of a single file, then using the "Illustrator Variable Data" feature could save you a lot of time. It's not very intuitive to set up, though, so I made up this tutorial.

I'll have none of this. Or any of the other places on this list. Snake Island?? Nope. Boiling Lake? Pass. I'll just kick it here in Milwaukee for awhile longer...
